Asus motherboard shows in home tab, but not on dashboard.
GPU shows up fine.

Latest iCUE version? Asus plugin installed (settings>plugins)? Armory Crate up to date?

pine maple

yep

Did you restart iCUE fully after enabling “In-game lighting effects” within AC?

pine maple
#

yeah. restarted too

despite the fact that i can see the mobo and gpu at home tab and can see their lights, changing them doesn't change anything

#

so i use aura for them

#

dunno if this might play a role

#

(gpu is also visible in dashboard)

I would try this to see if iCUE will recognize it:

  1. Uninstall AC
  2. Reinstall it
  3. Ensure the Asus plugin is still installed on iCUE
  4. Enabling the “In-game lighting effects” within AC.
#

Which motherboard are you using?

pine maple
#

asus b650e-e

#

again it was fine before, so i know it works

#

i think i'll lose my settings if i uninstall ac no ?

Try setting the motherboard color to black (off) under “static”. That how I have mine

pine maple
#

i dont mind using aura for mobo and gpu

#

i just want it to see the mobo in icue dashboard

i think its an irrelevant issue but okay

#

*separate

#

nada

#

i also have a case led strip so i'd prefer of using aura

pine maple
#

so i guess i still need aura

pine maple

Maybe? Not an official way though

#

Hopefully someone else here is able to chime in to help as well. The plugins work well, but sometimes they are a little finicky

Armoury Crate is hit or miss most of the time, mainly due to which process will be started first after booting. Could just try this:

  1. Uninstall "Armoury Crate & Aura Creator" using ASUS's Armoury Crate Uninstaller.
  2. Clean remnants of ASUS software using deepclean.cmd for ASUS (download as zip and extract).
  3. Download Lightning_Control_1.07.84_v2 from ASUS.
  4. Extract the archive and delete all files but the keep following:
Lightning_Control_1.07.84_v2\...
...\LightningService\LSInstall\AuraServiceSetup.exe
...\LightningService\LSInstall\aac\AacMBSetup.exe
...\LightningService\LSInstall\aac\AacVGASetup.exe
...\LightningService\LSInstall\aac\Hal\AacMBSetup.exe
...\LightningService\LSInstall\aac\Hal\AXSP < Keep entire folder.
  1. Execute AuraServiceSetup.exe.
  2. Execute aac\AacMBSetup.exe, aac\AacVGASetup.exe, and aac\Hal\AXSP\axIns.exe
  3. Install the ASUS plugin in iCUE.
  4. Restart your PC.

If you are using external lighting strips through ARGB on the motherboard, I am not sure which extra module you would need, since I don't use it. I suspect it might be one of the other Hal exes.

i already tried this guide however i want to use the light strips

Is it not under this?

#

Your configuration file for this may be corrupt then.

pine maple
#

its not no

latent flax
#

Click on this

#

Ok

pine maple
#

reinstalled as well

latent flax
#

Reinstalling doesn't delete configuration files or remnants left behind from uninstalling.

#

Try deleting %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\CUE5\config.cuecfg

pine maple
#

not willing to lose my profiles to be honest

#

but i'll try that

latent flax
#

You can make a backup of your profiles

#

Just export them

pine maple
#

60 profiles? nuh

latent flax
pine maple
#

let's see

#

backed up cfg

#

lol even less devices now

latent flax
#

Restart your PC

pine maple
#

#

asus is not detected

#

maybe there's a setting i'm missing

latent flax
#

I don't know then.

#

Sorry.

pine maple
#
