Also fair. I’ve been to some pretty packed and wild locations. Sadly only have 1 drop (too many!!) so far and again, that was a peak design fail on their propad. Stitching gave out and the capture clip slipped off the fabric and fell from my hip onto the lens cap.

I have to be curious though, the camera kept reporting the battery as nearly empty. The charger says at the end of the walkabout I still had 62% remaining. How cold-dependent are these readings anyhow?

Cold weather causes batteries to either die quick or just not report charge properly.

Very very finicky with cold temps. I remember doing an event where it was cooled to 7f -14c and my phone battery that was 100% after 20 minutes was at 15% just from the cold. Once I got back to room temp it went back to 80%

I have a question about stacking photos on astrophotography

If the photos are sequence of one

What difference would make if I instead using a sequence of photos I just copy and paste 1 photo ?

What we reckon on this. So my OG EOS M seems to have a slow spreading line of hot pixels, they go away for a few shots if I use the sensor clean but return, checked theres no visible marks to the sensor nor debris. its on about 8K shots so not bad for a 13 year old camera, time to possible retire it?

Noise pattern is a tiny bit different and it doesn’t make the exposure longer
The whole point is to take simulate a really long picture with very low noise, if you just up the exposure you’ll just get a really noisy picture
