need to learn how stack moon shots
my problem ?
my tripod not enought stable for that
so the moon endup a little diferent position every shot
First step: buy a new tripod
.....
i know i should
but
dont want to expend more
so im think about how to fix it in the most cheap and dum way
haha
yes here in washington we have a lot of smoke do to the fires so when its low in the horizon it shows up red to orange
Random Sony USB 3 readers
Thunderbolt docks
How did u get those?
My dad bought it used somewhere long time ago. Primarily for the lense it came with, he said it was good for taking pics of flowers š
XD
Flowers at night, an unusual subject of photography
Aunch
YESSS I won the x570
Nicr
U won a motherboard?
Oh
From 83'?
im from 2025
im calling the fbi

The smallest, lightest bag in our Everyday Line, the all-new Everyday Sling now comes in 3L, 6L, and 10L sizes so you can pick the perfect companion for minimalist, on-the-go carry of everyday or photo gear.
Different sizes work for aĀ range of creative setups, from a rangefinder camera to a pro DSLR, lenses, and laptop.Ā The Slingās padded cross...
Seems similar to this one I think
While I adore peak design $150+ is too much for a sling
I got a cheap bag
Honestly
No complains
It protected my z5 + 50 mm really well
Ok, both small kit
I'm a little tempted by it
I don't have a convenient way to carry a single camera with easy access
Itās actually good for the thing inside is foldable with Velcro
Santorini, Greece
No lemons were hurt in the making of this photo
Nice trail
In Australia rn
The free one right?
Oh
The film that was in the camera was discontinued in 1996
I got like 4-5 shots because the seller had opened the camera and exposed the rest⦠also the iso was set to 100 instead of 400
Sooo nothing useful there
This is a NICE leather camera bag though. I love it.
Looks nice
The camera lives on!

Ok so thereās a big car show coming in September
Gold 100 and MAX 400 will be shot then
Canāt wait
Help Iām becoming always-shoots-never-develops
How to develop
Development usually comes with practice.
Yeah I havenāt self devd yet
Just lab
Iāll do the BW ones myself tho
I wanna buy chems
expensive hobby
pc building is also a expensive hobby
Yes and yes
Tbh the two on the left/right plus all the lenses together were likeā¦. $500? Max
Probably $300 or so
Cheap
Film is the pricy part
so don't do both at the same time
Shush
Yippeee
dont forget to open from time to time the lenses caps
and let some sun/ligh pass on it
to avoid create little creatures
Mhm
I use all the lenses donāt worry :)
Aperture ring stuck open on 35-70mm macro :/
Guess thatās partly what happens with a camera sitting 30 years
Oh well. I have a 35-70 already and I was just after the camera
Also itās a VERY sharp lens for how old it is
I bet I have less money than you.
Actually, I can't bet because I don't have enough money.
probably because I have a job and am saving and not in college
College Tuition is free for me.
Lucky
Yeah but not like bills and stuff
?
Bills and stuff? Oh... Yeah, I don't have bills.
Food depends. The cafeteria is not free, but the food items other places in the school are free.
true lol
Just got back from my very first trip to Japan. Was there for 21 days.
The first week I went to both Disney parks and went on a bunch of rides. Then my 2nd week I explored a few spots in Tokyo. For the 3rd and final week I returned to Disney.
My favourite ride was in DisneySea called Raging Spirits.
I went on it 60 times in one day. Many of the Cast Members recognized me, and had huge smiles each time they saw me. It was really nice. I wasn't looking for attention. I just simply really liked the ride and they were great people to be around.
The next morning, I tried to write a thank you letter for them in English and Japanese, and put it in a nice folder I found at one of the shops.
The Supervisor met me at the exit, thanked me for the letter, and asked me to return just before the ride closed.
It was my last full day, and I went on the ride over 40 times. I had no idea that I would've gone on it 100 times in two days. The Cast Members were very surprised and amazed also that I was able to ride it so many times via the Single Rider line.
At the end of the day, they wanted me to ride on the very last train for the day. I was very overwhelmed by the attention. I didn't expect anything in return for the letter. I just wanted to thank them for their hard work. It was certainly the highlight of my entire trip!
I returned the next morning for a few hours before I had to fly back home to try to get photos of Cast Members that I had missed. Sadly, I wasn't able to get a photo of all of them since they work different days/shifts and I had to catch a bus at 2PM.
I felt so awkward, since I wasn't looking for attention. But I am glad they really appreciated my letter.

What a nice story
Just wanted you to know that I read and looked through everything - cool!
Also didn't expect your wii character to be so spot on of a representation of you
So that was pretty funny
not the best solution, but it works
Wish my avatars was close to me, but my beard don't help
This makes me nervous
I took this with my iPhone since I canāt really afford a good camera rn
I can, I just have other priorities
In Greece rn
iPhones can take great pictures
You just have to do it right or get lucky
These were all shot on iPhone 12
PC photo but it's photography. Taken on the S24 Ultra
Portrait boy
Any advice? I have a 14 pro max albeit the camera is crap
I like using the portrait mode and editing it afterwards
just using photos app
it does decent
I havent ever gotten a really cool looking landscape with an iPhone
it seems to do better in lower light, too
Briggs is so perfect
100%!
I use it
And I edit afterwards
I find in sunsets it works best
Take this photo (my flagship one) for example
This was taken on an 11 in 2023 with portrait mode at 9:10pm in Paris. I mostly reduced noise, changed brightness, and used softer shadows/black tones
I can see why people like to hate on kit lenses...
heavy vignetting even on apsc...
is this lens meant for like M4/3 or something? lol
thats one tiny corner
all the corners
it looks good from afar
Yeah it looks alright, but theres a large difference in the 'feel' of the photo because of it, and I dont like it
I need a better lens lol
this is definitely a video-focused one
bc everyone wants to vlog...
Thank you!
I don't typically like being in photos, but I tried.
Yeah, my Mii avatar is surprisingly very accurate. š
pretty, sexy
amazing
the 50 1.8 mm
from nikon Z line
is a kit lens
but is amazing kit lens
kek i guess the S on it make sense
XD
Incredibly accurate. Sadly mii channel doesnāt do my face well
ā
I guess Iām looking for a new RF zoom or prime to replace my 18-45
Maybe to go alongside it but maybe not
Iād love to have a 32mm
Anyone here know much about the RF 24-50 or 24-105?
Wondering if thatās what I get
kinda doubt yall would know since itās mostly EF/E/Z in here but Iām asking
Even maybe 18-150 if I can stretch the budget or spend less on pc
no
are you shooting wide open aperture?
also this is why I bought a premium lens lol
Sigma
I think so but thatās only 4.5
afaik it doesn't matter what the actual maximum aperture is, simply shooting wide open will have the most vignetting
Iām sad the camera makers decided aperture is a āāproāā feature⦠i wasnāt around in 1984 but all my minolta lenses are like f3.5 or better (300mm is f5.6)
your camera might have lens correct profiles built in; not sure if they would help with vignetting though
bigger aperture means bigger glass which means bigger lens
just makes it more expensive
yeah fair
modern lenses are full of motors
I probably have āproā lenses from back then that are cheap now because theyāre so old
which makes them big even without a super wide aperture
28 2.8, 50 1.7, 35-70 f3.5
I also donāt get why the glass is so tiny
On new lenses
also the kit lens is aimed at vlogging these days on those bodies
Lens weight doesnāt matter so much to me⦠I mean my camera bag has only nearly suffocated me a couple timesā¦
For sure, I can tell.
Not as good for photos
you can get a manual focus if you wanna save a buck
I also really really like the aperture ring on the old lenses and donāt love it on the new
But I understand that it has to be that way for electronic control
some lenses do have aperture rings on them but it isn't super common
Mhm
mirrors will save me
pokes during bulb exposure
now the sensor AND your shutter are messed up!
I've been culling a lot of digital photos today
you mean like this ?
as a person who doesn't know much about cameras this seems pretty bad
nah man its fine
In Crete rn :)
Crete heavens!
AAAAAAAH
Nooooo
cursed š
birds
been a busy day and i still have at least 5 thousand photos to sort through in lightroom alone
damn id love to have a house like that
nice place
I asked it if it was OK afterwards and it said it was fine
Itās a digital back, basically just a sensor and a computer
What rf?
RF mount lenses not made by canon
There is one lol
Wuuuuw
RF lenses like the ones TTArtisans makes?
I mean sure, they're Chinese, but I've been pleasantly surprised at their quality (for Sony E).
If they make RF lenses they're likely all manual
Which is fine if you want manual, but sucks if you want auto focus/aperture
That is true. They only recently started with autofocus lenses and havee not made those for RF.
RF mount is still pretty locked down
sigma and tamron only (semi) recently announced RF crop lenses in the works, and I believe sigma just released the first 3rd party RF-S lens
Been playing with the Blackmagic camera app for Android, its really nice
Nice
One.
š¤
more than my bank
wanted to try something weird or at least not like Fuji 400
computer decided not to load
I wanna try some kentmere
Iāll let you know how it goes.
I ended up with it bc cheap.
$6.99 for 36exp but also 10% off on top of that
$6.29
Found out that I have an LED thing thatās PERFECT size for 35mm
Tell me more
What is even the point of film, if u have to take a photo of a photo ?
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Funsies!
And the tech is really cool
And you get different looking pictures
What is the name of that plate to grip the camera in the bag, so arms free while walk
?
Plus 5 at the lab rn
you mean the peak design one ? it's way too expensive for what it is
Ya know Iām starting to realize why Iāve been broke since Aprilā¦.
why dont you just let your lab scan it, you only get like 4MP-8MP max ?
idk, i scan myself because I can get to the limit of the film (and i still need a macro lens for it), but you'd just get better results with your lab don't you think ? especially if you don't have negative lab pro
Lab images are like 2mpish and very pixelated
Also $8/roll
or even cheaper, you could get a dedicated 2000-3600dpi scanner for like 200$
I have been in the past Iām just now self scanning
I use dark table not Lightroom
not quite to that level yet
you can find them for even cheaper
I can fill almost the whole sensor with my normal lens
Probably about 18-20mp
Out of 24
what i mean is a proper converter, not just invert in your software. Personally I don't use anything else than LrC
huh, what lens ?
It has a decent converter
18-45 kit lol
I would highly recommend them, to just not damage your precious work
yk like those
at least you can touch the middle part with them, because a single fingerprint and its game over to clean that
Iāll probably end up going back to lab for scanning but I wanna try this
ohh yeah right apsc has 1.6x crop
Yea
Didnāt think to tell you that lol
if I do digital 2x crop in camera I can fill the frame but ofc then I lose quality
also @jagged lake I just tried extension tubes and they're pretty bad, they have a ton of chromatic aberration, its crazy
Thatās odd
Iāve heard from a lot of other places they donāt affect much since they donāt have glsss
this is from a test on youtube
but i have the files at home I can show you, it's bad
I'm thinking it just has to do with the algorithm that deleted chromatic aberration that is calibrated for each lens is not the same, so it doesn't correct it enough
personally, i'll rent a macro lens to get those sweet 250MP files
Probably, no idea of similar?
Film fun
Film has a look
Film can be printed!
Prints hard to share online
Capture camera clip
I got some of these and the ones I got were terrible
The fingers have a bunch of extra material at the end. No more dexterity
So back to nitrile for the time being
after shooting 10 rolls:
-different looks that you can choose but never really know exactly what will come out
-exciting/intimidating/entising because you cannot have a preview, and then have to wait for your images to be developped
-you only have 12/36 images so you better be sure of your photo, it limits you in some way so that you don't overshoot, it's another psychology
-its kind of a hipster thing lol
for me, it made me go slower, and it makes you shoot things you wouldn't shoot otherwise and the inverse, sometimes you just think an image isn't worth it since you have limited photos, i personally kinda found the fun of discovering photography again.
there is so much gear available online, the cameras and lenses are cheap, but film isn't, it's anywhere from 30-80 cent per photo without the processing included
Lol
Saddly price of film
Here in Br we have so many Hasanblad film cameras
Really ? What price approx
No idea for Brazil, but itās honestly not that bad per photo, yeah compared to digital itās super expensive, but 35mm film is 10-15$ a roll
Also the Pentax 17, is a new film camera and it takes half frames, which means you get 72 photos per roll
But itās only a 25mm lens, no autofocus and itās 500ā¬ā¦
Here the problem is also film
Some store sells it
But I have no idea I'd they develop
They probably do
not objectively good at all but this looks really cool
Sprockets
yes
hair
You should really consider a dedicated software to convert, itās so much better
let me check
1 dol = 5,73 reals
1204.18848168 aprx
but most of the shops of old cameras dont have web site so hard to compare much
unless u go to SĆ£o Paulo city and check in person
Like what
those are the really, really old Blads, the 1000F was made in the 1950s, they also have focal plane shutter which breaks often. the valuable ones are the 500 C/M or 501C/M
uhm
goood to know
Thats what im doin :)
lil difficult but very fun
idk how you do without lightroom honestly
I hate adobe with a passion but damn they did something right with photoshop and lightroom
canon have a edit software for they line
should give a try
heres some self scans I did with darktable
nice car
it is
*lab scans
florida was fun
lots and lots of good photo subjects
soooo many
hehe
Every now and then, I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming 'round
i miss xmas
TURN AROOOOOUND NOWWWW
Such a pretty car. Love the classics.
its not really that great honestly
Is that what they mean by freeze-framing?
why they in the fridge?
They're unmatched tbh
recommended storing temp is 13C approx
if you want to preserve film after expiration, its the way to do it
ahhh i see :3
Ye
2 of these are expired 15-30 years
Probably unusable
But
Might as well hope
Saving them for a car show in sept
thereās also a really low ISO film that says it needs stored below 50f
Whatās that in normal units
@jagged lake guess which has the extension tubes
50
No
I find it interesting how starting off shooting film has made me ābetterā at shooting manual
Makes it easier, it seems
Because ISO is fixed usually at 100-800 until the roll is done
I never thought about auto iso making it go to crazy values
And the Minoltas are aperture priority
So changing aperture changes shutter speed
So I feel like I get a better feel for how things are affected
nice
hmm
it would be about $300 (or more) for me to get a proper mirrorless scanning setup
meanwhile lab is only 9.62/roll total for large scans
That means 31-33 just to break even
sooo
I guess I will keep going to lab for scans
Unless I somehow get a ton of money (hahahah)
Still gonna try to do home dev BW tho
I can just leave them uncut and have the lab scan
why u dont buy a cheap ink cartuche printer
that is also a scanner ?
i bet you can get those more cheaper
Have one
Havenāt tried scanning with it yet
Good point
Might be bad quality tho
Worth a shot
But you can scan infinitely at home
But I donāt think I can quite afford the mirrorless setup rn
especially on top of the cost of dev kit
Start with scanning
I still mostly dev at a lab
Although
My lab is cheap
https://www.citizensphoto.com/processing
@jagged lake so cheap
C41 $5 first roll, $4.50 additional, no tax
so i tend to save up several rolls for scanning at once
TIL 24mm on a APS-C camera is just not quite wide enough for travel photography. The cathedral facades just narrowly don't fit in the view.
Iād go for an 18
Since 28 was the standard wide for film
And 28/1.6=17.5
So an 18 is roughly equal to a 28
For Nikon or Sony 28/1.5=18.667
So maybe 19 but more than likely just 18
I just now figured out that my phone will do maths while Iām typing
All I have to do is type equation
1+2=3
Try adding the =
Yeah, that's more street photography focal length when on aps-c. For buildings 24mm is great on FF, but you would need around 16mm for aps-c
Yeah, it is not horrible, but I should have gove with 16mm
They're still great pictures though
Honestly I like it
Iād even go with a longer length
Right until I can back away no farther.
The one with the flowers is perfect but Iād go with a 50 for the statue
Yeah thatās a job for a wider lens
The rainbow and tower would go missing with a 50mm on the statue, no?
This isn't the Cologne cathedral is it?
No, this is Trondheim, Norway. The Cologne one is much darker and with sharper bits. Been there last year.
Multiple images
I didnāt notice the rainbow for a sec
But uh yeah
Iād go 70 or 80mm (full frame equivalent, not actual length) for the statue and tower, 24-35 for the scene
That's somewhere I wanna go. I love the Gothic style of it
I do have a 56mm with me, but it was not in my walking bag yet. Just arrived in town in the afternoon and wanted a quick walk around town and a bite to eat after dropping stuff off at the hotel.
Iām the guy that packs the bag FULL and itās so heavyyyy sometimes
I have time to try it all out. I do like how the one with the flowers turned out.
I always travel with carry-on and that includes a beefy laptop (16", 3080Ti) with a charger, three headphones (two are earbuds), a camera with three lenses (decided to leave the kit lens behind as a last moment thought), a hard drive+SSD, an extra shoulderbag I can carry around town, extra shoes for hiking and clothes for three weeks with weather ranging from 24 windless in the shade to 17 and pouring rain. I suspect I was over the intended carry-on luggage weight as well.
Wowie ok
Fair enough if youāre going overseas though
I havenāt
Just went to Florida and brought 5 lenses and 15ish rolls of film
Ended up picking more up, I think 21 rolls in total was what I got
I live in Estonia. Almost everything is 'overseas'.
Oh wow didnāt know that
"zoom with your legs" only goes so far
Cat but perfect
hehe
Well, it is a technicality. Estonia is on the mainland, but it has two land borders. One to Russia, which I'm not going to travel through, and Latvia in the South. Going to Central Europe through Latvia would take over a day of driving as it requires going around Kaliningrad (Russian exclave), which means for practical purposes, we almost always fly to our target country unless the target is within the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). And flying to most places goes over the Baltic sea in order to, again, avoid Russian airspace and because it is actually a shorter route to Central Europe. Hence, 'overseas' is not quite accurate, but also not wrong either. It is like calling Alaska 'overseas' for most of the U.S. to avoid driving through Canada.
I managed to mostly repair a lens YIPPEEE
Stuck blades are no longer stuck but theyāre at the wrong place lol
That's the sentence of all time
Haha
Lmaooo
That is the wrong kind of blade running.
Hey guys!
I fixed the aperture blades being in the wrong spot
ā¦but now itās stuck wide openā¦ā¦.. again.
Lols
Oily blades
I need a lens spanner
auch
18mm is more of the right size for this.
I really like this one though.
Cute
Normal scanners are around 300-600 DPI, which means youād get a scan of your photo thatās only 300 pixels in width. Compare that to film scanners which are 3000 dpi+ and to get the max res youād need 7000+ DPI, which you can get with mirrorless scanning
Highest res possible is called drum scanning which is 12k DPI, but thatās super expensive
YATAAAAA š£ļøš£ļøš„š„!!!
Fair
But
Expensive $
YATAAA
Nahhh, used film scanners are getting dirt cheap, nobody wants them anymore
Kodak has a 200⬠film scanner that does everything and spits out 12/24mp files
Or you can get really old Nikon Coolscan
Epson has flatbed scanners with film holders if you can find them for cheap
But most likely lab scanning will be the cheapest
Lab scanning is temporary cheapest
But adds up
just gonna do that for now, do proper scans when I get more moneys
Oh that's a lovely photo
Thank you :D
Birdddddd
Birb
Tried to take a picture of a cheeky seagull who was waiting on a tiny roof above the outside eating area of a bakery for someone to leave so that he could swoop in for leftovers. So close, and yet so far.
Poetic
gonna edit this later I just got it back
fuji disposable cam, sunset, ft myers beach FL
Nice view
yeah it was
aaaaaAAAAAAAAH
I ignored the āget a second batteryā advice
was fine for a month
Now Iāve finally managed to take enough to kill it
Gg
Oh no
dude get outta my yard
no
want a snore then?
BRIGGS and BUGS stay INSIDE
Awww yeahhh
Is it weird that I find it harder to use digital as a walk around cam
I donāt find myself doing nearly as many landscapes or street stuff
Mostly use my 100-400
I feel like part of the reason is the lens
18-45 4.5-6.3 is an odd one
The kit lens is enough to get you started
it is
but im wondering what to upgrade to
this is defo a vlog lens
and more so you can figure out what lens you actually want
Thanks, slow Ethernet drivers in the NAS
Honestly would be faster to just physically move an nvme
I might but itās a lil risky
Fairly risky
And very annoying bc my gpu blocking it
nah
is ok
just leave over night
like the cowboys in the old west did
@jagged lake I wonder if this will cause retail pricing to go up
Tldr, Kodak Eastman manufactures film and is doing well
Kodak Alaris markets and sells retail film (they buy the film from Kodak Eastman)
Alaris is now owned by private equity
My opinion of most private equity acquisitions is not good, so we will see
It doesnāt smell good tbh
As far as I know, KA sets the wholesale pricing for packaged Kodak films
this does not include Kodak motion picture bulk film, and Kodak consumer film manufactured for other brands, such as cinestill, Fujifilm, lomography, and others
For gold, ektar, and portra, I am wondering if we will see more price increases with the new private equity owner
Yeah thatās my fear too
Gotta buy 100 rolls to be sure
Did I share my local pricing for Fuji color here
No
Damn I deleted the photo
~$17 for C200
~$19 C400
Both 3pack 36exp
Also did you see they discontinued Fuji Superia X-Tra 400 and replaced it with color 400
Gold and ultramax would be pushing $30
Which is allegedly Ultramax 400
Long live ultramax
God damn thatās amazing
I've heard mixed reports fuji supplies their own base for the CX00 skus
Here, 38⬠for an ultramax 3 pack
So it might be a slight difference to ultramax
But in the end, it's gold
Everything is gold š
Oh cool, so Kodakās just trying to kill itself again lol
FINISH HIM
bruh. 24.99/25.99 with 7% tax on top
Is colorplus/kodacolor gold? I really like it
Sorry so many pings lol
From the Moxxies pop up during comic con. Too bad the movie is terrible but loved the pop up and the games.
I think this might be the only video game movie I don't see
I love the games
The casting is ... interesting
Nice
I heard the movie was so bad, it made other failed video game to movie adaptations look good.
Effectively
Well Kodak Alaris hasn't been doing well for a while
They're the one that licenses the Kodak brand out to all that cheap Chinese crap
No tax lol
when did that release?
The Movie? Yesterday.
yeah i have to wait until the 22nd
It has 7% on rotten tomatos. š Nobody says its a good movie, or adaptation, or representation of the games at all.
The casting is just weird
I knowwwww
thatās what Iām takin about
granted this is local transfer from one nvme copying to another
But still
3.12GB/s random is niiice
You need the whole night for that much, also this is done in multiple shots
Your north star spinny stars look like my manual focus quick exposure stars. š
Yeah I know
But I got a nice amount of spin
So Iām happy
I wasnāt gonna wait all night
I think next time you should do it in 30s increments to limit the noise
If you have an intervalometer remote or in camera
Yeah it has a mode for that
thatās just a pic of the lcd tho so imma get the og and edit
How so?
I fed the adobemonster.
Nice
Good good
Pretty.
How often do you have to take your camera out of the bag for security check at airports? I just experienced my first time at a Norwegian airport, never had to before.
Also huh, I was not expecting this.
Polarizer on your window, and probably on the lens of your camera ?
It's a plane window, so possibly. And yes, on my camera as well, I basically don't take it off so I didn't even consider side-effects.
Usually it just dims the light, but if itās a circular polarizer (like on your phone with polarized glasses for example) it gives funky colors
Im 90% sure its due to diffraction but Iāll look it up
Oh god, physics.
Actually itās because of the refractive index thatās different in the different layers of the window, basically slows down light which shifts the colors
If itās one of the electronic dimming windows it could be something like an LCD
Oh Iāve never flown
Tbh Iāve never been to the local (big) airport
just a couple small ones for air shows or whatev
I doubt it is a fancy window. Just a domestic flight between two Norwegian towns.
But does it have mechanical/moving shade or just a button or nothing
Mechanical shade
It was a nice idea.
scanned 8 rolls last night
then had to cut them up today
so far like 3-4 hours in
haven't even converted the negatives or added to LrCC yet
Negative lab pro has 24 trial exposures if youd like
we have negative lab pro
i was simply sleeping since i finished scanning at 11pm
oh sorry i thought lrcc was a conversion plugin
i got it half price :>
LrC = Lightroom classic
LrCC = lightroom creative cloud
we have two licenses for some reason
nobody told me how cpu intensive LRc is
imliterally just scrolling
in other news
rabbit
oh yeah, LRc is a resource hog
I LOVE how sharp the RF 100-400 is
SO GOOD
the only thing limiting it there is the MP count lol
thats 400mm from like 15-20ft
f8
1/2000
iso 3200
man what a good cam and lens
btw 640 equiv
OOOH I DIDNT KNOW I HAD THIS
LOVE IT
(mourning dove) 400mm/iso3200/f13/1/640
aaaaa these are exporting at 500x333
is this 2007?!
there we go
jeopardy themelol
@verbal laurel you like birds right?
she was preening then stopped to look at me
this is making me want a 7950x3d
....I wonder how fast a 12600KF is for this.
I have one sitting around
currently running debian but hardly used
YES
OH this is stunning
Thank you!
RF100-400 making me want R7
but also seems to have a lot of drawbacks
R7ii when
(I dont need it)
I think most people like it
Biggest complaints I have seen about R7 is people wishing it was bigger
Like a bigger sensor or what?
Or physical size
Iāve heard that the older sensor is a little slower and has worse AF
bigger body
and yeah, revving the camera as a whole would be nice
Id like more MP so I can actually see the lens sharpness
but then it might look soft
at least as is its tack sharp
cant believe this lens is 1/3-1/4 the price of nikon/sony alternatives
spoiler: you dont
yeap
nice birb

Wow
Well I still want APSC for the crop
just higher density
Makes me REALLY want to get the Vest Pocket Kodak working

This qualifies as 'wildlife photography', right?
LrC and Photoshop
20GB $10 photo plan
I really like it, nice and intuitive, also free. If I end up not being able to pay the Adobemonster Iāll definitely go back.
So why did you pay the Adobe monster then
Wanted to see what the hype is
Itās $10
Iām not paying Apple Music anymore
And I can get a refund before the 26th
Sooo why not
Ah
Well you have Photoshop now which is a whole other program to explore
Yes I do
Itās confuse lol
But Iāll learn
Also LrC denoise SO much better than darktable
And the masking is nice
I love BW+color mix
me, pixel peeping
āhmmm this image is softā
ā¦wonder how I can make it better
Oh wait- itās feathers
it IS sharp
THEY are soft
Só pretty
Bruh I thought the image was flat, but itās just the preview wth
Is it in HDR by any chance ?
3d printed film holder btw
Yeah the preview is terrible lol
Yea but also compression
HDR images are amazing but itās gonna be a while before being mainstream
Especially since you canāt print HDR stuff unfortunatelyā¦
Yeah
But itās easy enough to make them sdr
And both of my main monitors are fantastic for hdr
Youāve only been taking pictures for what, 6 months ?
Idk man that doesnāt seem reasonable, and to be completely honest, the resolution advantage isnāt really there
Also optics are king, I think for any medium format setup youād be spending 1-1.5k minimum
4 lol
on a real camera
No no, for funsies not res. Iām not professional at all.
Iām thinking Kodak a1 jr
my grandpa has it
Itās 100+ years old
Just needs film
well, likely needs tested for leaks
Yeah and also donāt forget itās x3 the price per photo
Yeah fair
Iād need to self dev too
127 film
All of ours are printed, pretty high quality too
I need to get a decent 3d printer
I want a prusa
Yeah, negative supply of valoi, but those are expensive AF for no real reasonā¦
Well usually labs can do it, but high quality scans are expensive.
Basically you just take a photo of the film with a light behind, but you need a macro lens to get the highest quality
And you also need it to be parallel, no reflection, the film needs to be flat,ā¦
This is my setup
I saw that
Autocorrect bruh
Oh
Nice
