Speaking of VWs. Mine chose violence earlier.
For what I thought was no reason it blew a turbo hose. No damage just the turbo to throttle body hose popped just after the turbo.
I was actually driving sensibly about half throttle pulling off dropped into second loud bang, EPC light and about half the power.
Why did the hose pop? Well my turbo stock runs 15psi, it's mapped and runs about 25. The data trace shows it decided that 42psi would be good. It's very much not good.
So now I have as a precaution refitted my BOV with a 23-30 psi spring So it's opening normally when I let off but hopefully now won't do that again. I am looking for a better solution as in a DV but they are harder to find

I did have the GFB one but it started giving errors due as the piston was catching somehow on itself, when I removed it it was jammed at an angle, currently got one on back order with a longer depth piston to prevent it. Easy install though three 6mm allens and a connector.
Currently I have this kit, https://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/Dump_Valve_for_the_12_and_14_TSI_Engine--product--1431.html on there, the second vent does not exist on mine so its blanked off.
It's running fine thus far plan is to data log it properly on some 2nd and 3rd gear pulls as its possibly just spikey at high RPM on boost, if so it'll be either a mapping issue or just slap a bleed valve in and be done with it.
Also won't help I have a new exhaust to go on at some point so that will be fun as that will likely increase the boost again hence thinking a bleed valves the way to go
