Every state have different laws. Some state that only do (1) state inspection when you register the vehicle and others state every 2-3 years. Also some state have emission (SMOG) and some don't. Every registration license plate have a expired stickers mounted on them.

In my state all cars have to have emissions checked yearly. Its to help with pollution or else some people will mod or not maintain their cars and create a lot of emissions. Only exception is new cars are exempt first 3 years or certain classic cars

Nope. Alternator is drivers side as well. Its under power steering pump lol

I will bring it up to him that we should check for multiple leaks though just to be safe. If we gotta replace seals and gaskets. May be worth doing multiple just in case

CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor) is done on the W166. Friend said it was a piece of cake. I need to find out if he got it from the top like the old M113 motors or did he remove the driveshaft or even the Catalytic converters/downpipe that other suggested and get it from the bottom of the vehicle?

Edit: He moved the Catalytic converted (not removed) to get full access from the bottom of the vehicle.

Took (3) people to lift it off the transmission jack onto the tire. Afterwards we changed out the (2) front struts on my friend RSX-S. We did it in 30min with decompressing the springs to release the struts.

Fuel wise usually just what ever Asda has so 95 RON with added twigs? I ran the tank to nearly dry and filled it with Tesco super unleaded which is 99RON. the map I have is adjusted to work best on that, been told to try and keep it above 97RON to prevent pinking so I now have a bottle of octane booster in the van in case I have no option.
Really debating a BOV, but I should probably sort an undertray first, make it engine bay a littler cleaner and slightly more slippery in terms of aero

Meant break 😂. Got done with it and I had no boost. I was throwing a code for boost pressure sensor. I was thinking no power to the boost controller. I checked the harness and vacuum lines all good. I went into the scanner and I can manually active the boost and deactivate through the scanner after hours of brain storm. I reached home and open the hood just to verify something I miss. ive noticed with my M40i is it kinda delays around the first gear but other then that the engine is a phenomenal experience

okay okay in my opinion i have a pre LCI (2018) M40i and to be real everything functions super similar to LCI there is a few minor differences but i truly like Pre-LCI still has that BMW Soul imo

it protects you so you can get a new car without having to stress about financials

looks ocmpletely mint

most of the others you could notice some minor wear but this one looks brand new

also as cool as the M brakes look imo avoid

they cause TONS of brake dust and you cant stop it

its a pain in the ass to clean
