I swapped to LED bulbs on my old 2013 Legacy. I had to go through the fender due to the battery. I done so many vehicles. I know the bottom OEM optional fog lights was just plug in play.

I can’t remember if Legacy use CAN-BUS. I gave the vehicle to my father in-law after it been recover few years ago.

I do remember you have to drill a hole through the dust cover to fish the wire cable through on the low beam and possible high beam. I only did the low beam with LED.

also remote start. when i got my car i didnt think id be using it but i use it every day now

start my car about 5-10 minutes from inside the house, by the time i finish my coffee my car is all warmed up and ready to go

but it doesnt like to idle for more than 10 minutes from a remote start. one time i took too long and it turned itself off

It's a Toyota. My cousin old 1981 Corolla have over 530k on the clock right now and his friend (he bought it) is still driving it till this day. Plus the N54 are known for Fuel pump, water pump, thermostat failure and carbon build up on the intake valves and the N55 motors that inside the 2011 535i are known for water pump, oil pump, gasket and VANOS solenoids failure.

N55 engine is notorious for burning through spark plugs and ignition coils pretty quickly. What I'm saying is every motor is not the same and the older the motors gets the harder for parts to become available.
