Class Preset

Am I missing the obvious, or is there really no way to specify a class preset for PVP?

I can set up gear and spells, but I can't specify a class? That seems like a huge oversight. It's like running half the field and taking a knee

Specifically this would be primarily for PvP and Settlements. It is very annoying getting destroyed because your opponent happened to catch you in a weird spec or while experimenting. It discourages branching out to try new things and actively punishes you for being curious.

Thatd be a great implementation, doesnt just have to be for pvp tho, for someone like me who does all horde content on beoH, and raids on random classes that i feel like at the time, itd be a nice QoL thing to not have to switch every time, would also mean people can use one class for vd and then not have to worry abt entering a dungeon, backing out, then switching every time. Itd also be nice to have that for kingdom wars as well

People have been asking for something like this for a long time, along with a pvp specific pet. Unfortunately Odie is not big on basic qol stuff like this so you have to keep asking

Asking for years, we all want this bc that is one strategy, wait for opponent to get on vd class setting up dungeons for win

Having to sit on a defend class and forego other content because pvp fight hasnt taken place yet sucks

If your opponent is attacking while you are not ready to fight you are easy to kill. For me it doesn't make sense to magically switch to pvp class+armor+pet in the second you get attacked...
I agree that pet + loadout as a part of a saved loadout would be qol, though.

Yeah it's real neat when you're not actively managing multiple war fights a day while trying to balance your build for all the other parts of the game 🙄

I actually agree with Odie on this one. Forces people to show what they value the most, winning their matchups vs having optimal PvE loadouts. If you could always be on the optimal loadout for everything it’d be much more boring

For real though this to me shows a lack of respect for players time. I do see your point, but most of us have a limited amount of time every day we can spend on this game. Being forced to choose between an optimal setup to help your Kingdom or an optimal set up for enjoying the actual content you want to play is a pretty shit choice to force players to make when the vast majority have jobs and lives that often limit when they can play the game

Didn’t feel called out at all, gaheite knows I respect his love for pvp and I think he feels the same way about me. I know we sometimes get heated over disagreements when it comes to specific mechanics that relate to pvp but that’s just out of the love of the game

I get your point, trust me. Wouldn’t be the first or last time I took a “strategic break” at work because a war was about to start. And I’ll be the first person to be frustrated if I miss a war in the middle of the night (especially because of the damn swords of shame bug). I do however like the strategic layer it adds to the game, but I can agree with you that comes with downsides as well
