The majestic can only use thief equipment and dragon swords are warrior equipment
Preferred bonus just gives a stat boost iirc

There is no swords that I simply can use. Its not an issue if some swords are ok and not some others if they are all form the same categories no?
The only ones that I can actually use are the Curved Swords.
There seems to be an issue between what a class can wear and the preferred bonus if the user can't use what should be part of the prefered weapons..
In here, I'd say the bug is simply displaying swords as preferred when they cannot be equiped?

Rapier, Dune Blade, Scorcher, and Orcish Blade are all examples of T4/T5 swords that can be used by thieves
