Current form of steps objectives can end in frustrating numbers (if you walked 2900 step a day for example).
I think it would feel better if it was changed to something like less rewards but every 1000 (or 2000) steps for 40 (or 20) rewards max per week.
This way your steps are only reset once per week and you can accumulate step through all days of the week.

Are you actively going outside and walking to try to get steps and only coming up with 2900 for an entire day? I feel like I'd only get 2900/day if I stayed home for 24 hours. And if that's the case, no, I do not feel like that should be rewarded by the GPS game in the system setup to get you outside and walking.
For instance, I left work at 0230 AM where I work at a busy ER and already have 7k steps from that time. And that was with a fair amount of time sitting at a desk. But the hospital spans several city blocks.
Losing steps every day make no sense, be it at 3000 steps or 10000. I don't think the objective of the guild is to make you walk 10 kilometers a day just for the game itself. If it is then I can see why not many people are not engaged into the traveler guild. And even more so why people are now asking for trial free runs. What I propose is to reward every steps so you can play the guild even if you're not walking all day. If you do go out for hours just to play the traveler guild, you'll get farm more rewards anyway.
Of note, 10k steps is closer to ~7km than 10km
depends on you size but i get what you mean.
being tall, my steps are roughly 1m long
Oh wow you are long :o
