#Shouldn't the Celestial Archistaff be classed as an Archistaff?

  • Heretic Ara is a celestial class with a single proficiency but has no celestial weapon to match it. Are there any other celestial classes (aside from classes that don't have a preferred weapon) with none?
  • Archistaff is in the name of the weapon. Are there any other staves with the word Archistaff in the name that are not classified as Archistaff? If not then this weapon shouldn't have Archistaff in it's name.
  • People may check the Heretic Ara class and see Archistaff as the preferred weapon and purchase it then fully upgrade it before realizing it's not an Archistaff. The weapon class should be included in the description and stats when purchasing weapon molds.

other staves with the word Archistaff
[Arisen] Vulcan's Archistaff is a Staff

can't think of a good reason why the Celestial Archistaff should not be an Archistaff

Fair enough, I wasn't really able to check every weapon. The Codex online doesn't include weapon class for them. Also I can't think have a good reason either. My main thought process on it is centered around my first point. It would make sense for a Celestial Class that has only 1 weapon proficiency to have a weapon also classed as celestial that falls under that proficiency.

This 👏 right 👏 here👏 I made the mistake of buying and upgrading the archistaff for the ara class but now I have 2 level 20 staffs with similar stats but 1 I can wear a shield with or another staff making this item nearly useless to me.

Also when unlocking and upgrading the staff (which I did because I stacked the shards before hand) it doesn't specify it isn't an archistaff or staff in category. It only shows stats and if it's 1 handed or 2 handed.

I'll note that you do get preferences for specialisation too, so if using Maji or Sequencer you get the bonus with the Archistaff still
