#The place of Deity celestials

I just really want a play style to lean into for both celestials. Temp buff hell would make me wish I ascended a different class. I want a melee spec that has a distinct way to play over being a bad RS. Avidity is the new RS passive, keep it there. Beast Bond is the new beo passive, keep it there. Either lean into the redline or give us a new passive that doesn't rely so much on temp buffs to give us any sort of power. Idk the more I read, the less I'm convinced that diety won't get screwed in the end. 🤷♂️
Its all good. Odie acknowledges and itll be done at a later date
Emphasis on uniqueness like the other celestials
Just gotta be patient. The dev gods cant just poof code
Rs players
🤪as well, ara being a bad bad heretic
You're probably right but I tend to lean towards melee over mage so I don't feel qualified to comment on it
Corporate want's you to find the difference between those pictures :
(they are the same picture)
No they are not. Mana syphon is out.
Again, a worse legacy deity. The Ara/Ursa passives are worse than DC.
The only way this gets a semblance of improvement is if you overlap with Ash Phoenix, practically locking players into this pet.
Also taking into consideration the upcoming changes to its AI, this workaround is not a given.
I am not intimate with the mechanics of the data gathering exercise done by NFS, as prework to the balance patch.
IIRC the criteria taken into consideration was completion of a certain content (like towers, dungeons); has the TIME needed to consume this content been compared?
If you were to compare the run times of Deities against any other class, how much slower/faster are we running comparable towers or dungeons?
I don't mind sacrificing some damage output for versatility, but even that has been stripped away to some extent.
Again, the keyword is "some" - an AL22 BeoH was routinely out-dpsing an AL44 DeiU by 100%+.
This is only the public data, Odie said they've much more data internally
If the completion times at comparable ALs were taken into consideration, then I would gladly retract my comment.
for me, celestials statistics are biased by the fact that the majority of celestial owners are highly invested player who much likely have very good stuff and high ascension.
Believe me even with top tier stuff, saying that current Deity celestials are subpar compared to other classes, is still being generous.
