Instead of ending the way it did, this is how it should've gone:
As with the TCW road, Ellie should've snuck away and tracked down Ellie. Ellie then reveals that he escaped from the Wall with her, which would ultimately let go of Henry because they think he had done some serious crime. And so, Henry ends up trying to run away (and attack somewhat) the government. In doing so, he joins the Tophat clan. After Henry escapes, the governmental leader tasks Ellie and Charlie to hunt down Henry Stickmin themselves.
