I think Puff handled this problem well in Fleeing the Complex by having you chose who to call. It doesn't make since to call the team you didn't side with, but it is an option, rather than asking at the beginning of FtC whether you are a member of the Toppats or not. This gets somewhat awkward to pull off when you have a dead main character
