Imma give my opinion on this too (on the whole Govt and Toppat thing for Henry):
The Toppats ain't the greatest in my opinion. Look at Betrayed for example.
Henry was ultimately thrown off the only place he could call home at the time all because the previous leader was petty about losing his place as a leader, and therefore overthrew Henry (Reginald did offer Henry the place as leader in order to get out of being caught. But that was on him, Henry took the option, and a deal's a deal.)
Yes, Henry did get caught by the wall, BUT it could've been due to either recklessness (like Terrence Suave), poor communication, or he got abandoned for no apparent reason because Reginald was being petty and ordered members to leave him at the sight of a heist. (These are how I see the outcomes for before he gets stuck in The Wall, ofc there are endless options about this).

If there's no actual reason (of dethrowning Henry), Why was he overthrown by Reginald in that case? Because he's petty. I see this in the lines "But I'm not going to pull you up. You see, without you, I become the leader of the Toppat Clan again. I just wanted to look you in the eyes, as I took it all back. Goodbye."

You could argue that Henry did abandon Ellie at this point, but how would Reginald know this? He doesn't even know Ellie exists at this point, he didn't didn't know Ellie's existence in TCW until she introduced herself.

Honestly I personally see the Govt as the best situation for Henry too. He's technically got a secure place to stay (yes they may travel a lot, but it's better than the unstable house he mightve been in at the time of StD) and depending on what timeline it is, he has Charles, or even Charles and Ellie as buddies.
Yes he couldn't steal anymore, but it's possible he had a change of heart and reformed in a way. (Which is a GOAL of punishment: to reform criminals to make them law-abiding citizens)

Going solo could be another good thing for Henry; However he's lonely. No friends, and only valuables.
He destroyed what potential friendships he could've had just for valuables that are actually worthless compared to having trustworthy friends.
And at that, he's more at risk of being caught by large prison organisations and being trapped in Maximum Security (like a fail in The Wall.)
Considering the crimes he's committed other than stealing. (Some of which being actual murder), he'd have MULTIPLE life sentences in prison. Not a good life.

when henry was thrown down, reginald gave no good reason to throw him off except for the fact that he'd "become the leader again"
why would he not give a proper reason for this unless there wasnt a good reason to give
and for the govt, iirc, in every ending where henry helps them, he either gets pardoned or gets to join the force, like in SBroOps.

Guys I would rather be in the Toppat Clan than the Government Because the Toppat Clan has more power and a stronger army and they literally fly a airship! Like compare a Helicopter VS A Airship Like Bruh. Toppat Clan Is Better And Stronger. And It Has Good Teamwork And Communication So Toppat Clan Is My Choice. What Are Yours?

Also they fly in style like they wear a tophat compared to a little captain hat like that’s so boring. And the airship is way bigger than the helicopter (obviously) but the airship is also worth a lot since it has a ruby aboard. And also it has good security such as when your leaving the vault the camera scams you and if your not a toppat clan member a alarm goes off and then a toppat clan member comes running to capture you and put you in a high secured brig.

Also they are way smarter like if your the captain of the airship and one of the toppat clan members are in the wall and they need your help your gonna wait outside and then your gonna get some members to cause chaos and start a distraction so that the member can get to the airship regarding on the item the toppat member gives them. But if we were in the government Charles would just say “this is the greatest plannnn” and the crash into the wall which would kill everyone including you. But when it comes to the toppat clan they would only kill the wall guards and not you. That’s why toppat clan has better responsibility and teamwork. Unlike the government who just crashes into the wall to make their life easier. So the government takes the easy way out and the toppat clan takes the hard way out. And Like The Toppat Clan Probably Spent Like £100000 on the airship and the government probably spent like £2000 on the helicopter. Toppat Clan Is Hard Working And The Government Is Easy Working.

The only pro’s about the government is that the government is way way WAY more kinder than the toppat clan and they are helping the world. The toppat clan is a group of international thieves so the steal stuff. And the government would help people out and sacrifice themselves for someone else. Like the VH ending. So in a way the government can catch up to the toppat clan if they build up their army and force and maybe get some better gear. But the only clumsy about the government is that in the RPE ending they fell for it. The dummies landed and they thought it was Henry stickmin and Reginald. But The Government Is Still Kind And Can Keep Up With The Toppat Clan If They Get A Bigger army and if they upper the security and also they upgrade their gears and abilities.

Charles crashing into the wall is really only an on-going meme and a gag, just like Henry and the teleporter.
The Govt try to be sneaky when breaking Henry out of the wall if we ignore the fails.
The Toppats are WAY too obvious, and are actually kinda bad criminals because they literally can't hide their giant red airship.
The helicopter being small and a dark forest green is more sneaky and not as noticeable minus the propellers.

Would you rather sneak out of prison and go practically undetected, which then makes your location unknown?
Or get out of prison in such an obnoxious way to the point it could be VERY easy to get tracked down again.

Personally, I'd rather be sneaky.
(Also to add onto cost and stuff, the Toppats likely stole the equipment, the Govt? They buy it, they probably put way more money into their vehicles and equipment.)

  • He was a member of the Toppats at birth.
  • A Government attack on the Airship was planned on his 5th birthday, of which he was separated from his family.
  • Galeforce found him the same day, took him to the base to take care if him - Henry ran away when he was 13/14.
  • Henry became homeless, and turned to a life of crime, and met up with a gang that treated him poorly.
  • After escaping the Gang, the CCC Captures him, and did some tests and experiments on him.

But it progressively got more confusing. It started off as reaching to an active volcano the Toppats were settled in, Charles distracts a few Toppats at the entrance of the volcano while Henry dealt with the ones in the base. Then they sneak through the lavaways, take some files, for some reason it became Minecraft for 1 second, they do even more fighting, the volcano starts to erupt, causing the interior of the base to cave in. Charles escapes with Henry collapsed in his arms. And for some reason outside is now an Ark Survival Evolved wyvern trench. Charles gets on a level 167 poison wyvern and flies away.

I'll quickly explain two of my weirdest THSC dreams (keep in mind I was in the POV of Henry in these)

  • I was kidnapped by Reginald and RHM, and was taken to a restaurant where they were having a date night or smth and Kept me tied up in a chair and kept an eye on me like I was a god damn toddler. I tried to escape 3 times, once by stealing their car, and twice by sneaking into the Toppats laboratory, the 3rd attempt of escaping was successful as I used a pokeball to escape. The weird part was that I woke up in the same pose I was in while I was dreaming, and my hand was slightly closed over as if I was holding said pokeball

  • I walked over to Ellie who was calling me over to see something she found, which was koi fish in a pond. She SOMEHOW taught the koi fish to say my name-??

It was scary to be in Henry's POV for that dream while also trying to protect one of his kids (don't fight me, but I head-canon he's got two adopted kids which he raises with Ellie and Charles way after the events of CtM.)
