the game is primarily built to be played with people you already know, i think itd be more advisable if you can host your own lobbies in private discords or even in our own matchmaking channels

itll open the votekick screen where you can choose to votekick or report specific players

yes, the reports are monitored by in-game moderators not present in the discord

the given punishments however are not clearly displayed for whoever reported the offender, but they do hand out bans from what i have personally experienced

Sounds like they have a network issue, or could be potentially playing from a restricted region. VPN usage or non-vpn usage might also contribute to an error of sorts, but typically not much we can do to help other than advise common troubleshooting steps like verifying game files, checking network, etc.

I love how instead of dealing with it or offering explanations to why this is so commonplace even with me reporting 100’s of people for not just hacking, but spewing racist and bigoted remarks or even just spamming slurs is insane.

also... it pisses ME off that everyone assumes the team is sitting on their hands and doing jack shit because they don't see instant results. they ARE working on shit and fixing shit and shutting down the hackers. but it takes time... and bad hackers are like roaches, very very hard to catch, and when you DO squash one, and another pops up somewhere else almost instantly. literally. the instant a fix is released, the hackers are out there writing counter hax and "fixing" their stuff so they can have their "fun" again. YES, it sucks, but that does NOT mean the programmers aren't fighting it.

3 different ways the ducks were being harassing... FIXED... FAST... they found a new way around it. i'm sure that way is being worked on now. blackscreen glitch? FIXED (yes, it took a while, but yay, its GONE now). banned on body reports? FIXED....

That, and if your only purpose in the server is to complain about some issue, whether its a bug or someone being a prick, no ones going to be much of a help, Innersloth has a helpdesk for a reason, and patience is going to be required for a response.
I know next to nothing about how dealing with these hackers works, but I trust the devs will squash the bots soon. The server mods, like Dragon said, cant help with game issues.

I am very bitter. I do not like the direction the game has gone in with the last 2 role updates. The crew roles added in these updates are all "gotcha" style roles that feel really bad to play against. Innersloth seems to be balancing additions around the chaos of random pub lobbies and not around how serious players play this game.

This comes after the badly done Fungle update that created a bug in the game that resulted in any crew doing a task to have noticeable glitchy movement meaning if just one person knew of this bug (and anyone taking the game seriously knew about it) then all crew is hardclear and the imps lose. The game was in this state for 3 months and to pour salt in the wound there was an update during this 3 month period: a cosmicube release. lmao

Idk what you mean by “modded protocol”, to me that sounds like hacking without admitting to it. If it’s not in the vanilla game and not every single person agrees it’s okay and you are in a private server, then sure go ahead and hack your hearts out. However in public lobbies. Using hacks should be an instant bannable offence. And it’s insane to me that the devs and mods think otherwise.

Modded protocol refers to Innersloth's official mod support for official servers. If you want to run a modded instance of the game on Innersloth's official servers you can use modded protocol. When you do so your game will not appear on the game listing but also you do not have to worry about the anticheat of the game getting in the way of your mod's features. This is how client only role mods such as Town of Host are able to function.

I agree that all malicious hacking and exploits on official servers not on modded protocol should be patched.

Like the #1 most popular hack I see is the reach hack which allows imps to kill from anywhere on the map at anytime. Basically infinite kill range. It’s extremely common happening once every hour of playtime on average. Second most common is role hacks which allow users to see any role a user is without doing anything. It’s most commonly done to instant ID imps at the very start of the game. Happens to me once every 2-3 hours of playtime.

ive had my fair share of experience with this bug, try not to alt tab your game and play on it, otherwise your data will be desynced and any rewards you get after the moment you alt tabbed will be gone in your next restart

Do it in a low traffic area away from walls. For example on the skeld, best spots are top of cafeteria, reactor, and comms (anywhere that doesnt have a nearby vent and isnt a popular spot should be fine)

If youre struggling to find a good time to shapeshift, you can always sabotage lights and shift during that for a quick, chaotic kill
