Is there any risk of impaction for a corn snake on well weted coco substrate with a dry mouse? Because APPARENTLY im gonna kill this snake that I’ve been feeding on coco fiber for three years. According to the snakes original owner. She has a say in this because technically tini is on loan from her. She also buys his food.

According to every accredited article, I have read on the subject. It just comes out the other end. But because she had a friend of a friend that had a ball python that died she’s panicking.
I swear to God if I lose my snake over this, I’m gonna lose it, but I would rather that then have to argue with this woman about a snake eating a bit of fiber

nqa its the same with leos. impaction risk isnt there on the correct substrate and proper heat source

I agree that aspen is isn’t the best choice with how dusty it can get. It’s why I went with coco
I keep it wet for his humidity and to keep the dust down.
