my leo always likes to come out of his cage and walk about.. hes so so curious but doesnt know when to go back in. my cage is on the floor so hecan climb back in safely but sometimes i just need to get him in; i used to pick him up but he HATES it, i usually just nudge his leg to get him moving into the cage or ruffle the soil but these have stopped working, how do i get him back in without spooking him?

its not really gonna be possible if hes just prone to being spooked/doesnt like people. you could always try luring him back with food but if you wanna let him come out and explore, you will just have to grab him and move him when times up
some stress is unavoidable
other option is just not letting him out until hes more comfortable with you
