Do not listen to them.

They are going off outdated incorrect information.

Leopard geckos cannot cohabitate . There is no scientific evidence of it being beneficial .

#

There is tons of ancedotal evidence of it being harmful though.

Everyone who tries supporting cohabitation in captivity and tries to say that there are studies supporting it are misunderstanding papers and using studies that don’t even relate to social psychology or the topic what so ever.

While leopard geckos may be seen together in the wild we have no idea why because there is not a study over their social structure. The one paper people use isn’t a study, it’s an observational paper with a lack of evidence because he did not mention any sort of reason- no external factors nothing. Just cus two animals are seen together doesn’t mean they’re a social species either.

What a lot of people seem to forget is that in the wild they have miles to fuck off. In captivity they don’t .

It may turn into an argument but if you would like to you’re more than welcome to. Just be prepared to walk away if she’s adamant about her views.
