So I have had my gecko for a year or 2 now and she’s only six inches, many people and websites I have looked on say they will reach max length in a year which is 8 inches. I’m not sure if it could just be genetics, enclosure size or something else like the breeder I got her from (big apple Herp)

Geckos vary, they're not the exact same

A lot comes into play with how a gecko develops, looks etc. Some are smaller on average, some are bigger on average.

My gecko is already 8.5 inches and is not a year old.

I'm not educated on that breeder and have no idea what your enclosure size is or what your gecko looks like but variation is relatively normal

my two geckos are completely grown, kiaya 9.5 (a year and a half nearly) and quiche 10 inches (five years old)

there isnt really a ‘maximum’ length (as long as you don’t expect them to be over 12 inches but some can! just not seen as often imo :o)

geckos are fully grown by a year as well. your gecko might be fully grown but as jayce said it differs from gecko to gecko, not all geckos will be the same nqa

nqa, that tank is too small to house a leo in, the minimum is 36x18x18, and you also need way more coverage and hides. also, your uvb light should be a strip not a bulb
