Hi! I haven’t been here for a while but cinnimonroll is doing great! She’s been pooping regularly and has been exploring her cage more :> but I have a question regarding handling- so ik I’m supposed to start getting her comfortable with my hand ( so far I’ve been just like having my hand be still next to her or just moving stuff around her like rocks or when I check one of her hides for poop) but I’ve been noticing that she’s curious about my body and not my hand??? (Pics for reference) whenever I leave, go into her room, or just up against her glass she goes up against the glass and stares at me- how would I help her make that connection that my hand is attached to the thing she’s curious about???

Also for some background knowledge: I’ve had her for almost a month and have not handled her for weeks, I lifted up her hide that she was in once bc I didn’t know that she was in there ( I was originally checking for poop but I instead found her shedding in her hide, which solved my mystery of “ why isn’t she coming out to eat?”) ( her shed went well! There’s no pieces left on her :>) I’ve also been tong feeding her and talking to her so she knows what I sound like as well ( I saw that that could be helpful)

i think youre doing everything you can! leos are naturally curious about movement because movement=food so thats likely why shes coming up to the glass so much.

what i like to do is give leos my hand to sniff. if theyre not interested, we try again another time

See I haven’t been putting my hand too close bc she like- puffs up?? Ik that might be a stress response so I’ve just been putting it near her and if she’s not interested I take my hand out

I thought it was just me moving, I used to have her in a spot where there was a spiny chair and she used to watch my go back and forth lmaoo
