nqa and for future reference, any open wound** should be evaluated by a vet, even small scrapes and or cuts on ur leo. you should not have left an open wound unseen by a vet in my opinion.

Idk what nqa stands for I’m just trying to do what’s best for Leo, vets are hard to contact and expensive where I live, everything I’ve seen said leave it alone unless it looks infected and I don’t know what infected looks like, sorry

How’d the leo drop the tail?

If it was just spooked, I personally think a vet visit is unnecessary. If something was dropped or the leo escaped, then I’d head to the vet.

Keep the leo in quarantine, watch for any black areas, pussing, etc. I’d personally add more clutter than just two hides- you still want the leo to feel safe and secure.
