For context, after handling my leopard gecko today, I noticed that the humidity in its enclosure was a little on the low side and usually what I do is that I mist it with a spray bottle so that it gets the moss damp and so it holds humidity a bit better. In doing so, it scared my gecko to the point where she jumped and vocalized, now she’s holding up in her hide and won’t really come out. I feel absolutely terrible for scaring her and I’m worried that now she’s not going to trust me going forward. Does she just need some space?
