my gecko is having a little trouble catching crickets

So my gecko is having trouble with fast crickets any suggestions? I give home 2 or 1 mealworms to give him some energy so that hes faster which helps. Is it bad that hé at 2 of the 3 crickets in his terrarium?

i wouldnt leave food in his terrarium, i personally tong feed just in case the food can bite them nqa

I haven’t fed crickets yet, but someone said they tear the back legs off so they can’t hop away. I also saw in a terrifying YouTube video the remains of a wild gecko that fell into a cricket tub hoping to get a snack. They are vicious little creatures.

My gecko eats primarily crickets. I always make sure she eats them before I stop watching as they can bite and disturb the gecko if you just leave them in the terrarium. I powder them in calcium and vitamins, which makes them more visible and slows them down. Depending on her energy level I use tongs

put them in the fridge for 5-10 minutes

makes them slow

it wears off but makes it so much easier
