I've learned that they can develop this due to a shedding issue, because of low humidity. I've looked at his toes up close, and do not see any loose skin.

NQA I have heard water can help with stuck shed so maybe wash it to make sure ?? I'm not to sure since I have never dealt with this

I tried giving him a quick soak, but he's very restless and will not stay still. Fussed around too much and the water got tepid. I'll try again tomorrow with warmer water.

nqa if you dont see any loose skin or lighter bits clinging to skin, its not stuck shed. this may just be skin darkening due to temperature fluctuation or some other environmental change. leos can sometimes fire up or down like that
