so I’ve tried a Variety of different foods for my gecko, three days a week ( monday, Wednesday, friday)
I feed ( try to ) feed him 4 different variety of foods, these consist of silkworms, bsfl, mealworms and crickets. all of those meals are dusted with calcium with d3 (calcium withought d3 is provided in the tank) on Monday I dust his feeders with a multivitamin as-well as the calcium with d3.
Recently, I have noticed that he will eat one and then eat no more.
I will feed him one of whatever he will take ( usually a cricket or a mealworm ) he will eat it, then I will try to feed him again and he refuses it, same thing 30 mins later. sometimes I put crickets in his tank and he hunts them ( I think )
I’m wondering if he might be an independent guy and only likes to catch his own food.. or if he doesn’t like being watched while eating? His vet says he is healthy as can be.
If he is just an independent hunter, just wondering how I would be able to make sure he is getting enough food and knowing he hunted all of it.
