Just got a new gecko, Soot, today! I know to expect a food strike for at least a week, but was wondering if I should still attempt to entice feeding a week from now since Soot is currently 1 year 8 months 7 days old.

You can try feeding right away, some leos will take food

Hm, does it matter what time today? Currently 7:33 pm here but dusk is not until 9:00 here UWAAAH

If the leo is out and awake you can try offering food

Yeah, he's still either stressed and scared or just sleep deprived being in the expo for half a day. Currently hiding under the cork bark.

I'll attempt a dawn feeding tomorrow I guess.

You can try tomorrow night too!

Some leos will take food immediately so it never hurts to try but if he's stressed and hiding I'd give it a day for sure

Then once he eats the weekly schedule guide can be followed right?

Cool, I'll continue to give him space for now then, thanks for the quick clarification.
