I made the mistake of having just sand as my substrate and have recently bought 24 dry quartz of reptisoil to put in. I was wondering how much of the sand I should remove before putting the soil in.

I was planning on removing about half the sand but since I dont know exactly how much is in there im not sure how to ensure the ratio of sand-soil is right

do you have a giant bin or something?
you can use a cup
do 7 cups of soil, 3 cups of sand and mix it like that
nqa you just want the mixture to hold shape when you poke a finger in. if the hole you make caves in, you can adjust the ratio
