Hi, I've been looking forward to attending a reptile expo on May 7th(too long) to hopefully find the fated one(Leo geck)! Are there any tips/tricks I need to know before hand? I've been making flashcards to memorize the "Breeder Questionnaire"(joke of course), but I'd like to learn more other than that like how to quick scan for anomalies on the geckos! Thank you very much in advance.

It's this one for those wondering.

I've been slowly looking at the vendors list to tick off those listed "unethical" here, specially the highlighted ones and found at least one so far.
ontario invert farm
That'd be cool!
Are the decor prices in expos usually priced up?
Wondering if I should wait to buy the extra clutter there for choices or go and get them now.
Depends on the expo but some sellers will sell them there at the wholesale price (cheaper) rather than retail
I've gotten premade hides and stuff there for at least 5-10 dollars off what it normally is at pet stores or amazon
Cork is usually marked down too plus you're not paying shipping
Cool beans
Should I start a separate cuc culture as early as possible even with the gecko being in quarantine for 2-3 months?
Peachy pointing out the invert farm gave me the idea, just not sure if it's worth it or they'll die off way before.

Would they be fine in a 9L or so plastic box?
I mean before that, what's the easiest to care for CUCs?
As someone who added 10 isopods to my tank and then my gecko immediately ate them all. Please have a separate isopod colony
My side colonies are in plastic sweater bins from the dollar store, I don't remember the exact measurement (maybe 12qt?) but they don't have to be huge
My video needs to SEND
I know a lot of folks do it, but do CUCs somehow mess up feeding schedules and appetite? I'm just thinking it's like having a main course sized meal before the real main course
I also saw a lot of pill bugs in my garden while I was working... Though they're probably no no huh?
Does leaf litter choice matter?
Oak and magnolia are the most popular choices I think
There's likely other kinds you can use but those are two I know are popular and safe at least
Food scraps like broccoli stems?
