#UVB minimum distance

Oh yeah, sorry wrong wording.
So is it from the bulb all across or smack down middle with red marking?
from the center because it has the strongest uvi output. it has a gradient as it gets further towards the ends of the bulb
I've been seeing here that they are good at self regulating UVI so I was wondering if adding height will infringe the minimum distance
adding height in the tank or to the fixture?
Like elevation from clutter
it's good to add elevation and different areas of uvi
good enrichment for them to climb around
i've seen lemon sit directly under the bulb on the cork at the top of the tank which- bro please stop cookin yourself you're albino. LMFAO and also sit on the ground directly under the bulb
So it's fine to have closer than 10" from the bulb yeah? Since they can regulate themselves?
ye
👌👍
my 40 gal tanks are stacked to the lid
Worried they would get cooked but if your albino is doing fine I'm not worried.
the leos rarely go up there and where lemon sits up there isn't directly under the middle of the uvb because mine is angled liked /
Oh yeah! It was lemon that tried to attack the sun.
That was honestly a feel good and bad moment video. Conflicting.
Ooh, but mine will be inside unmeshed so I'd gotta make sure it ain't too close I suppose.
Should I put it closer to the back corner or middle top?
I put mine near the basking spots personally! at an angle
What's the purpose of the angle?
it has the best range of output imo :o!
So I should try to put most of it in one corner instead of trying to spread it across the whole length?
this is for a 4x2 but the first one is what i try to do :o!
i like how it covers the spot more (i also have leds for the tanks so)
i may also do the bottom one depending on fit
but
it's up to you really on how you want to do your setup
I might do 3rd one then, since I will be adding another fixture for daylight for plants(plants won't be there for quarantine)
I'm in a time crunch... I've been hair drying this box so I can get the first poly coat
Trying to get it all done at least 4 days before the expo at May 7
Where I'd hopefully find the fated geck
Should I open a new thread for reptile expo tips for selecting pets? I know there's the breeder questionnaire out here, but I wanted some first hand opinions/experience
