#Close the gap?

The top part tips too much, thus leaving a big enough space between the glass?
NQA, but my brain at this moment can only think of fixing the tipping from the top, if it's a DIY wood rail like the bottom and it's misaligned, you kinda have two choices(or more):
-To remake a track on another piece of wood with the same space between panes as the bottom, and to make sure the groove is not too big that it doesn't tip/lean outwards making that big gap.
-Lazier and easier way is to find something to stuff on the top grooves(like wood shims) to keep the two panes relatively straight and tighten the gap
-If that gap is still too big despite the narrowing measures, that just means the gap really is too big to keep your slick juvenile from slipping through. A new track system with a smaller gap might be necessary.
Oh, and from my experience wood shims from local hardware stores are made of reject pines, cedar, and the kinds which are not so good for reptiles in general apparently. So... Either you coat them up real good as well or find some other thin wood strips, or anything really to narrow that top gap.
Are your panes real glass or plexi? Plexi bends to forces easier than glass so that could also be a culprit(if the Leo has enough oomph to actually push it)
Stuffing the towel, unless really tight and actually sealing off all gaps, might've just acted as a wedge between to widen the gap as well as acting like a ladder for the escaped inmate.
