I use regular tap water, just make sure whatever water you use is clean and fresh. Im not a professional but i dont think it nesscerily matters as long as it is clean

I use the same water I use for filling the water dish (spring water). If you're misting outside of the humid hide though (like if you're misting plants) some people opt for distilled water because it doesn't leave marks on the glass when it dries

I’ve seen people say you should use distiled for mistying but I dont mind the marks
