for some reason my gecko got black nails all the sudden and i cant find anything about it online, i dont think its anything bad but i just want to know if anybody has a answer or possible reason

they are just on the nail not like on the toe at all

Do they have loose substrate? could it be dirt under the nail?

its repti carpet but we are changing to paper towls this week

can black nails also just be normal or are they caused by somthing i dont want to freak out for no reason

it's likely that the nails got stuck in the carpet and are now starting to become necrotic/die off :/ but can't say for sure
