NQA You can, but unless you're doing bioactive in the permanent enclosure and wanna give it time to establish you don't need to

#

Baby setups at old enough to sell are exactly the same as adults, the only time it might be different is for actual hatchlings NQA

Where are you getting your TUG from

#

TUG snows originate from very unethical people but id argue if theyre bred along more but other better ethical breeders then itd be fine to get it from them

#

NQA you also can't use plastic bins with UVB (best D3 option) because of the photocatalytic reaction between the UVB light and the plastic that causes the plastic to slowly break down and release not so nice things

definitely avoid them

#

cbreptiles is unfortunately a mill and produces unhealthy animals, among other bad red flags

#

!badbreeders has a list of the bigger, commonly seen company/breeder names to avoid

otherwise this is up to your own intuition and research. we do have this (!goodbreeder) list here that details good qualities of a breeder to look for, however because there are so many breeders out there we do not have a definitive list of them unlike the bad breeders--also worth noting that your taste in leos can change who you end up going to

While I can't provide a definitive list of good breeders since the topic is a lot more subjective than bad breeders and will depend heavily on location and interests, I'll try to outline some things here that'll help you differentiate between a good and bad breeder.

A good breeder will
-Ensure the health of each individual
-Be able to provide the genetic & age info of each individual
-Be able to answer questions about care & won't recommend harmful or overly minimalistic practices
-Avoid breeding problem morphs
-Avoid breeding unhealthy individuals
-Avoid breeding individuals that regularly produce unhealthy or deformed babies
-Avoid breeding individuals that have shown severe stress or health concerns during past breeding attempts
-Keep all animals in appropriate enclosures, particularly the animals being kept long term (aka the breeders)
-Avoid selling animals when too small or young (ex: making sure a baby snake eats a certain number of consecutive meals before selling
-Have good reviews (Facebook, MorphMarket, FaunaClassifieds, etc.)
-Know how to ship safely & follow all shipping laws
-Follow all wildlife laws and guidelines (ex: cannot send certain species to certain states)
-Communicate readily

morphmarket is probably the most common place to look for leos online but you still have to research the individual breeders

#

Local reptile expos!

#

Depends on vendors though

slender lion
#

yep, regardless of where you look you have to research them

#

faunaclassifieds and searching through facebook groups/instagram could also work but morphmarket is easily going to be your biggest source as that is where a vast majority of breeders go to post listings

#

these breeders don't need to be vetted as happy dragons has done that already

TUG snows are not very common so i can't say, super snows are very, very easy to find though so for that reason its going to be difficult for me to pin down a breeder

#

others may know of specific breeders but thats not really a morph i ever seek out

slender glen
#

Just popping in here- does TUG stand for something or is it just capitalized for a different reason

slender lion
#

it was developed by the urban gecko

#

it also, afaik, isnt 100% confirmed that it isnt just a linebred variation of mack snows as opposed to its own strain

#

as in?

#

like, do you mean specific breeders

#

or websites to find breeders

Morph market is like Amazon but for reptile breeders. There's hundreds

slender lion
#

the ones i listed are basically what your options are

#

like sommy said, morphmarket is going to have hundreds to choose from

#

according to the leopard gecko page on morphmarket, there are currently 2702 leos available

#

this number might vary slightly but. its a fucking lot
