ideally you'd let the bioactive tank cycle for several months but that's not an option everyone has. if you can, you can quarantine in a separate tank while the bioactive is cycling

an adequately sized bin would work for quarantine, just not to be used with UVB

Mhm, thats about what i thought, i think the bin may be what I end up going with, though i need to research that a little more first

the longer the bioactive can cycle, the better. but it's not direly necessary to quarantine in a separate tank

Yeah id like to make sure everything goes as well as possible though.

Hopefully will be able to get the bioactive set up in the next couple of weeks, and getting a leo isnt expected for at least a month so it will get a decent time to cycle if I qurantine outside it.
