The recent death of the King of Dustport has left the city in a state of disarray, with much of its resources paid in tribute to The Darkness. The crypts beneath Cairnleigh Castle, long neglected and said to be haunted, have become a source of dread. Despite the danger, the late King’s only heir and direct successor, the 8-year-old Aldric Valenor Galathiel, wishes to honor his father with a burial in the castle’s crypts.
However, Aldric’s closest advisors strongly oppose this decision, ever since his uncle, Lord Eamon Galathiel, mysteriously disappeared in those very crypts just last month. Investigations into the depths have yielded no answers, yet Aldric, now acting as the King Regent, remains determined. Your task is clear: delve into the haunted crypts, ensure they are safe, and prepare them for the King’s final rites before the possible coronation of young Aldric Valenor Galathiel.
