Information: You are no paladin, knight, or cleric fighting for the forces of good. You are a Red Dragon devouring a village of helpless gnomes. You are a Mind Flayer enslaving the monarch to your will. You are an undead Lich reviving your minions to die in battle all over again. You are a goblin warlord raiding the countryside for all its loot. You are a jealous hag hexing more beautiful princesses.

This is a high-level, rules-light, evil campaign where you and your friends are dreadful monsters and dark lords of the D&D world ready to bend it to your authority. Right from the jump, you’ll be a powerful creature with a lair, minions, and influence in the world. This is a proactive campaign meaning the players’ ambitions (YOUR own goals) will dictate the direction of the story.

I’m also testing out homebrew rules with an emphasis on giving you creative freedom, narrative control, and collaborative storytelling.

I have a homebrew idea that was originally designed to be a 2 player required class, but I couldnt find anyone that wanted to do that.

I recently watched the 2 venom movies and thought someone could be the host, while the other would be the symbiote. 2 organisms working in one body trying to survive

The 2 people would likely have to agree on stuff easily, be chill whether or not they get to be the symbiote, and just generally be cool with one another

Ah! Cool! Awesome! I actually did a similar thing with a friend of mine years ago. I was a little mushroom parasite. Lots of fun! If you can't find a player to be your other half, I can always create an NPC for you? Let me invite you to the server.

Let's say the symbiote was bonded to a dragon born, would they get wings and a breath attack when the symbiote takes over?

Just don't let traditions and rules restrict your imagination. This campaign is about setting those things aside to let your creativity really flourish. Do you want to be attached to a dragonborn? Or do you want your host to be a Gold Dragon whose decaying body is slowly being devoured by some kind of zombie parasite? The Gold Dragon is powerful, and it becomes even more powerful when the parasite unleashes necrotic attacks (or something). This natural tension can exist between the Gold Dragon's good nature and the parasite's desire to feed. You can literally play both characters and have a kind of Sméagol/Gollum relationship.

I don't know. Just something to think about.

I was thinking it could be where you play your own character, but if I am playing as the symbiote, I could potentially find a corpse and just take full control all the time
