Information: Humans, puritans, and freaks of all kinds come to the hellish carnival of monsters to witness the deformed beasts enslaved to amusement. You are a trapper in the year 1880, employed by the circus to find such creatures and bring them to civilization’s smile.
Earth is hostage to this wicked and unnerving era. Bloody vampires, howling banshees, terrible wendigos, undead wraiths, looming gargoyles, harry ogres, and other monstrosities roam the prairies, forests, and canyons of the American wild west. Cannibal elves hunt in the woods, drunken dwarves murder for a penny, and mischievous gnomes trick naïve children to their early tragedies. All of them unloved freaks in humanity’s presence. Plenty of work for a trapper.
The circus moves from city to city, displaying exotic oddities from forlorn ruins, taming wild beasts that could devour half the crowd, and training freakish stars to perform daring stunts or die trying. Trappers follow the odd carnival, capturing the feared and mysterious monsters that beguile the townsfolk. Upon a successful hunt, the circus will gladly pay a sum in exchange for the freaks and beasts, and trappers get to survive the world’s harshness for another night.
