Hey there, my name is Sam, I am 27 and my contact is: @open jacinth

My availability tends to be open as work is my only main conflict. Sun, occasional Mon, Tues & Thurs 5-9, Saturday, 12pm-? My availability has some give to it, so I can likely go later and possibly earlier, you’ll just have to check with me first. Time zone is EST.

I’d rate my experience level as: beginner to moderate in 5E (The only system I’ve played so far).
Storytelling and creative character driven worldbuilding are my happy places, so naturally, running the game is a goal of mine. My hunch is that it would be best to get a little more gameplay experience under my belt before I dive in headlong.
I’ve played one short campaign which ended a couple of months ago and have been experimenting with building my own one-shots for fun and keeping up with a couple of actual plays in the meantime. I’m not sure I want to GM just yet, but I like the game, and want to play, so if anyone is looking to add a player short or long term, lmk, and I’ll be interested.

I’d be up to play, I’m a new player as well and have no experience actually playing, just knowledge of how the game works. I’m the same when it comes to loving world-building and the like but I’d like to try my hand as a player before diving into something more complex.

I mean, I would be willing to DM, I just don't have experience, so it might be kind of rough starting out.

Yeah, I’ve tried to DM for just my brother and found it to be sort of difficult without a good bit of structure, but one of the most fun things to me is improv. A good example would be when my brother’s character got into a brawl with a drunk townsman, he was playing as a Goliath and they were in unarmed combat. He gets initiative and blitzes this poor guy with a nat 20 haymaker, I ruled that the townsman was severely injured and temporarily paralyzed from the incident, but could be healed with lesser or greater restoration. My brother just left him there, so I made the townsman a recurring character in the tavern anytime he went there.

Oh man, that's awesome! I love improv too. If we can get a group together I think we'll have some fun.

Yeah, there’s quite a few new players, but the hardest thing I think is finding a DM. It doesn’t require experience to be one, especially if your players are new, but it’s generally a position people find daunting.

But I think it’d be pretty easy to find enough people here
