Mini-Campaign: Flat Thursday.
Premise: A group of adventurers come across the town of Honeywood, that is under the tyranny of a giant. Every Thursday the self dubbed, King Gog, walks into town wearing a BBQ pit ring for a crown and demands that the town 'pay their taxes'. If they don't he squishes something, or someone flat.
The PC's are given a few options for how they might help the town out of their giant problem before King Gog comes back next Flat Thursday.
System: D&D 5e
Platforms: Roll20 for the VTT, Discord for audio (I don't use a camera, so just audio), and D&D Beyond for character sheets (I'll provide the needed materials there).
Date and Time: Wednesday nights, 8 to 11pm Eastern time (0000 UTC)
Aiming to hold Session 0 on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023
Open Slots: About 4
Information:
This is a homebrewed adventure based on a fun premise I saw online. The Party will have exactly 1 week of game time to figure out how to save Honeywood and its people from being squashed flat. There will be several options to pursue and not enough time to do them all.
Depending on what choices the players make I expect this mini-campaign will take 2-4 sessions to complete.
Everyone will start as level 1 and will probably advance to level 3 or 4. Players can create pretty much any character from any published resource but we will have a session 0 to make sure everyone can work together. My main requirement for characters is that they need to want to do the quests and work as a team. Edgelord, lone wolf types aren't going to play well.
Requirements: You need to have a decent computer (a tablet won't cut it for Roll20), a decent microphone with a mute button, and a reasonable internet connection. I don't need you to make every session but since this is a short game, understand that we will drive on with critical mass of 2 players.
