we were at 67% progress and had just placed the second lens into the puzzle when we had to stop after a checkpoint. However, when we returned to the game a few days later, after placing the second lens again, it seems to have skipped one or two entire chapters.
the last puzzle we completed was the one with the mirror where we had to align the owl image. After obtaining the lens, we returned to insert it into the astrolabe, and suddenly, the game jumped straight to the final puzzle involving the orbs and the yellow light to open a portal, just before the last scene in the sea. After checking online, we realized we missed the underwater section, the pipes puzzle, and several other smaller puzzles in between.
additionally, we are unable to select previous chapters to replay from where the issue first occurred. The host can only access the final chapter, which sends us directly to the ocean scene.
we believe we've missed nearly three hours of gameplay and are eager to find a solution that will allow us to continue without starting from the very beginning again.

Hey! That's very strange indeed. Could you try to swap hosts (the person who invited the other to the game will be the host) and let both people try to manually select the chapter?
You can do this by clicking on "change" below your journey and select "start new journey".
And then you should be able to select both areas and tick the boxes of previous chapters to not have to redo those.
