When you say it isn't working with your friend, does it mean you don't hear him, he doesn't hear you, of neither of you hear each other? and what platform do you guys play on? in Any case, just to make sure, I would recommend both of you guys looking at your audio settings and checking your push to talk keybind (also note that while you're holding down the "talk" button you won't be able to hear your partner, so be mindful of talking over each other).
