Me and my friend tried to play WWH the friendship, but on his end he cant interact with anything in game. We have tried restarting the game, different hosts, using E and Left click, changed the key binds, and restarted our whole adventure. Everything like mic, jumps, WASD, all that stuff works for him, its just the interaction part. For me everything works great I can interact and I can click stuff but its only my friend on it's end. Is this maybe a bug or my friend touchpad being bad?

You can ask your friend to unplug any unnecessary USB device (joysticks, controllers, midi keyboards, etc.) to see if that perhaps works. He could also try going over the common solutions on our FAQ page: https://totalmayhemgames.com/support/support-we-were-here-expeditions-the-friendship/

He doesn’t have anything plugged or connected in, it’s just his gaming laptop. It also doesn’t have any USB’s to his name. My theory is maybe it’s because he uses touchpad but using the mic works great so I don’t know how strong my theory is.

Hi Stinky, from what you are describing it could well be a bug. You mean that your friend is using his touchpad on his laptop as his mouse. (using the touchpad and tapping the pad to "click"the mouse button. Correct?
I just did a quick test on a laptop using only the touchpad and I could use the touchpad to left and right click the mouse.
Something to try would be to Main Menu > Settings > Keyboard & Mouse and press the default button. This should revert the controls where the left mouse button is the interact button.

Another workaround might be to plug in another device, but that may not be available to your friend.
