A Guide by @jovial valve
The Current State of Tree:
Since my last guide, Cele/Fort have declined, while Might has gained ground.
Pre-107 features various important skill-ups (ie Cele 45), % stats (largely useless in AE/HF), and secondary stats.
After 107, skill-ups are pretty low value, and % stats are replaced by flat stats. Flat stats matter most in low RC modes (AE/HF/CR/TS) but have less impact in higher RC (NC, campaign). There are no more secondary stats. Thus, Stage 6 will have a bias towards CR/TS units rather than NC.
TS is run by ASaf, Rem, AShem, Emi, AAtha, ALyca, Mae, and AThane, depending on the field.
CR is pretty much consistently run by 3 carries: ABaden, ABelinda, and Seal 18, followed by Liberta and Rem (and maybe ALyca?).
Sust units are used in every mode and will never stop being used in every mode, so they have the best longevity. While not necessarily stat-hungry, there are plenty more meta Sust units like Haelus Rowan Raine Nev Twins Mortas Merlin. Trouble is, you can't max only Sust, because Palmer Ivan Haelus and Raine have targeting issues. That means you upgrade Sorc and Sust side-by-side. However, if Sorc declines in the future, Sust will have to be upgraded alongside another branch.
Might and Cele are fighting for third best, and I lean Might due to Rem and AAtha. It is also worth noting that many Cele CR rounds are largely unaffected by tree, except for like one ALyca round?
Fort... exists? It's the only branch without a good Awk (lol Talene) but maybe AShem will change that. So far she doesn't seem too tree-reliant, though.
