According to the story trailer it says that they waited, to me that sounds like they could have easily just escaped but as shown through Azmonath's death, it indicated they were weak, so they waited a millennia to just replenish their ranks and have mortals in Esperia to be at a disadvantage
And also wait till all celestials were to be gone, because if you see the lore of almost everyone, it somewhat indicates that celestials aren't around anymore, Orthros only resurged because of Zolrath's appearance, Talene is the last of her kind, Wu Kong I guess became a celestial, etc.

It's a traditional long-term tactic wait till you get stronger, while your enemies get weaker due to believing you are gone. With the hypogeans out of the way the peoples of esperia focused on fighting each other, gaining hatred for each other. The celestials retreated, did hardened by the mortals and no longer seeing a need for their presence. The gate opened during the height of the conflict amongst the 5 factions, when they are at their weakest, allowing the hypogeans to clean up what was left.

Nara was a cofounder of the whispers as well, I don't think she'd let them hassle her when alive, or survive the encounter when dead.

Most Wilders lived in a well-off environment, making them left docile, which may have made them have nekonimimi traits.

What about the anomalies?
Vurk and Skreg lived in caves too, similar to Ankhira. The only difference is that Ankhira doesn't leave the caves at all. The Durri might've gotten their savagery outside, while the Arachin got softer inside the caves.
Ogi looks humanesque, but he lived his life with incredible strength, so that may be just that.
Gorvo was found by the wilder beach (Azure Shores), which may be harsh enough for him to have a turtle-like appearance.
Saurus didn't have much backstory, so i don't know for certain, but he may have come from the beach as well.
Skriath had a civilization once, but he had lived his life with hardship to get it back. Also, I don't think that Skriath even lived during that time, so the savagery might've lasted for generations.
Anyways, idk kedbgvkjrbjkvfdv it's really loose and really confusing, so i just consider them having different faces, like how hens look different from roosters.

Seirus and Gorvo's Union mentioned that it is a powerful destroyer that if is ever freed from it's prision would destroy esperia. as for coruption, khazard was a elemental not a hypogean, he was courupted into a hypogean by the entity. Also ask your self this how did a god of death create life, that is a power given to dura. this entity can curupt elementals, it may be able to tempt a jealous god, by offering the power that the god envys. even the time the entity apeared is long ago enough to be the courupting force.

This entity was somehow contained again after this catastrophe, until the dwarves awakened it in the decaying port.

Happens that, there's a manga I'm currently reading, it's really good. And particularly I got into one ship, a fellow user also liked the same ship so we were always on the lookout for more content.
Said friend is Chinese and posted a social website which also had content for both the manga and the ship.
He is friend with one artist and I entered to look for more content (which was excellent btw).
Then it occurred to me that there might also be some content for afk arena, so I had to Google the original name and went through the whole tag.
Right at the end I found a post about an ad a user liked, so they posted a screenshot. She was a female mauler, Faline.

Logical wise, she seems to be rather a character who tends to move a lot than stay in one position and play defensively, thus armor on her would prove to be not much use when she has a shield and her own fast movement
