Niru was a field medic who went a 'little' mad from the horrors of war and became a necromancer. He was executed when he was discovered and rose again as undead a few days after.

He left behind Shemira, his wife, and their son Daimon. Daimon became sick and died pretty quickly afterwards. A few months later, Niru came to Shemira while she mourned by Daimon's grave and brought him back for her.

He offered her immortality, too, so she could be with them forever, and she agreed. Niru killed her and brought her back a few days later.
