Hey could you guys help me set up some teams for pvp / HoE? Im playing this game for quite some time. Started shortly before Rowan dropped and was lucky enough to get alot of copys of him early on. Problem is he made teambuilding piss easy as pretty much everything worked with him and I never had to think much about synergies and stuff. Im struggling to understand how compositions work and what makes them strong. So I often lose to people even tho I have more power. my heroes:

well you just look at team synergy and what makes your team work, and anything that stops your team's specific plan is a counter. so formation 11 relies on eironn to bunch things up, and gwyn to delete everything that eironn pulls (along with eironn damage). So as long as an enemy stops eironn from pulling and also stops gwyn somehow, they can beat you very easily @subtle wolf

so you have to make a plan for your carry, cuz atm you don't have any, not even close. Belinda it's a weak carry, plus there will. be much harder to ascend Lucius Rowan then. so i would try to get as a carry, at last until mid game shemira and daimon, and work on a good rowan rosa Lucius. once you get them strong go for wilders, eironn Saurus lyca tasi. safiya mauler is a must too for later

i remember rowan dying pretty fast, not sure if he even got an ult off but it doesn't matter that much if he dies. the big difference between my winning run and other runs was lyca surviving (i swear i'm not saying this cause i'm fan of lyca, but i'm fan of lyca BECAUSE of it xD), even with less gear she dodges better than eironn, so when she has full attention of nara etc and actually survives, the rest of team can keep fighting on.

Ok, so I REALLY need your help here guys. So I somehow managed to speedrun last 30 stages, all guys were getting one shot by one or maybe two mirael ults if they were lucky. BUT on this level, the game realised it was doing something wrong, and now my mirael who was my hyper hyper carry, barely deals 1/5th of their hp, if not less.

Shem, lucius, rosa, rowan, tasi but first things things first, get your crystal to 160. That means resetting 2 of your top 5 that cant go beyond 140 and putting the exp instead into L+ or higher ascencion heroes (your current options are shem and another from brutus, lucius, or tidus) once all at 160 level up your shem to 200.

You want to Ascend that Saveas and overlevel him ahead of the others to use as main dmg dealer, because you dont have one atm, and you to put Elite+ Heroes instead of Elite ones that you have levelled so you can get your crystal to higher level because right now its capped by Elite heroes (100), investing in other Legendary Tier heroes is a good idea early on, like Arden Hogan Mirael Silvina, Mirael is more consistent and stronger than Saveas as a carry but you already Ascended Estrilda which was a mistake and blocked your fodder from that faction, put the rest of the heroes you use in the crystal like Lucius Tasi Twins.. So their level can go higher @sullen musk

No, Estrilda is an Ascended Tier hero, you can check those in your Portraits Tab, but she is more of a lategame hero that works in specific comps therefore most people dont try to build her early, and you usually dont want to invest in heroes that you dont have more copies of, because as you can see right now she is stuck at Legendary and cant go further unless you get copies (relying on rng isnt good and can take months to get those copies), Izold is alright early on, but at this stage of the game you want to have a carry which is a dmg dealer, and you want to overlevel them 20/40 levels ahead of your other heroes, and your Izold cant go further in terms of level because of his ascension, and working on him early without further copies would be a waste of fodder aswell, that is why its advised to invest in L Tier heroes, as those are the proper fodder to sacrifice later and they excel at this early stage of the game, and they are very common to get so you wont be short on their copies, therefore easier to Ascend and higher their level caps @sullen musk

@tacit mortar that is WAY too many tanks in one team, even if grezhul isn't a traditional tank. i would try something like tasi - rosaline - belinda in the non-athalia spots, brutus and maybe lucius in the athalia spots. try throwing rosaline or tasi against athalia too, if either of them can occasionally dodge (they should, sometimes, if they have gear), you can swap out a tank for someone like nemora or even shemira (i mean, shem's not that greatest anymore, but she still does decent damage, has some cc, and you're fighting LBs)

@summer wagon traditional comp is gwyn + arthur + rosaline + estrilda + [flexible choice], but as you can see in my 30-32 i got it to work without arthur. estrilda is also sometimes swapped out. hendrik makes an appearance often too but he's also not necessary. gwyn + rosaline for very quick ults to keep stun up is probably the main core idea.

@lost grove early level problems are usually not lineup problems but hero problems that belong in #classic-questions . to start with though, you shouldn't have leveled your tanks so high, overleveling carry is much more important. you should have a mirael or saveas prepared at this point, they're lv100 to 160 carries. no need to use 2 tanks, frontline should be [overleveled carry] + brutus, but no need to ascend brutus, just use him for now. you can play with the trial heroes but even if you could keep them, they're gonna be falling off soon because you can't ascend them further and you can't overlevel them. use arden backline over lucius.

@tawny seal even if i were to use double carry (which isn't the worst idea even if it's usually bad...), i wouldn't put them both in arden's root range lol. belinda top backline, lyca can just die at the bottom or something idk. could always try nemora + lyca against arden, but i would give belinda<->lyca swap some tries first before changing more.

@frozen finch an extreme strat from endgame players is actually to just upgrade every mythic gear with faction you get on your heroes, regardless if they're faction matched. you can slowly try to match factions with reset scrolls every week, but because you need 5 sets of gear eventually (this is very far off for most people lol), getting MORE gear is far more important than getting faction matched gear. never upgrade gear with no faction, but it doesn't have to be the right faction basically. some amount of faction matching is still good, but don't overdo it.
