Don't use 3 skill heroes or Brutus (unless higher level/ascension) because they are too weak. Try to use 4/5 of one faction for the faction bonus.
Don't just think that ascension level is everything. If you are using your L+ Hogan because he is L+, you are missing out on utility from Fawkes (coffins strongest enemy for 6+ seconds) or the ulti reset from Rosaline (she will follow the ally with the highest attack power, and her ulti will fill up their energy bar). If Rosaline dies too quick replace her with Lucius @worthy spire

do you have drape on talene? you can try to put wukong behind talene and pray for arden rng. keep call on him or put eye on him not sure i dont play wukong past early game
@worldly wharf Rowan can go in the front row, if you get a rosaline toss her in for cecilia. i think cecilia is good but if more healing is needed go nemora. cecilia will kinda be like athalia, just lowering the enemy's attack ratings. make sure rowan is on the opposite side of cecilia, as she is outside of healing range. if cecilia is behind rowan, she won't receive healing (i believe) and the person in the backrow on the opposite side of rowan won't receive healing either
call should normally be on rowan, drape is typically on talene i find (unless she is carry, then blade is on her, but i doubt you have blade yet.) put eye on belinda and put grace on either wukong/the 5th person) @worthy spire

ah i see. im hardstuck 15-40 on my alt (been 2-3 days, not really too hardstuck) and im at the start of chapter 16 on my main. my main really doesnt have anything outstanding aside from 3 othros and a twins i gazed for, but my alt has an athalia + twins (twins from a soulstone can u believe it?) so i want a mehira (got talene from the islands event as well).

@proper thistle The reason to not make heroes legendary is because you can get stuck without copies of them and waste fodder if you can't get them to L+ which will lead to you getting very stuck and unable to progress.
That said, the rule only applies to Ascended tier heroes, not Legendary tier heroes like Mirael, because it is super easy to get Legendary tier heroes like Mirael, if you hold off on ascending Mirael to L you might get level capped at 120 for a while.

@ancient jackal stop leveling evenly, you Brutus is L but only level 85 while Wukong is 100, Wu is great early game carry but will fall off. I would suggest you reset your crystal to 80, keep wu at 100, and just put everything else into Brutus, he should be your highest level, then this stage will be easy
Also you do not really need shemira at level 85, she really only becomes good at 161. replace her with Mirael

@marsh void you can always try switching shemira with Belinda for more burst (or mercing a higher tier Belinda) on vedan/Niru, which is kinda necessary to kill them. But I used the shemira lineup to complete that stage, but I had Rowan M with +17 SI, not Lucius... Also only have Shemira SI at +7

It is going to be important to get one hero from each faction (2 from one faction) to Ascended as fast as possible to avoid level caps

@wind cave wukong until 100 then saveas for carry until 160. Idrk for full team tho. Make sure u only have 5 people leveled, reset the rest. You will unlock a crystal that lets you give your other heroes the same level as your 5th most powerful hero. Instead invest in your carry.

youre still pretty early so you dont really have much options.. at this stage dont worry about using optimal teams so much..chances are.. wait tomorrow, level up and you will pass with ease instead of banging your head at the stage. Levels drive progress more than anything early game..
You can push gwyn to level 120 first.. then bring everyone else to 100.. then push her to 140..
at that point re-evaluate with new pulls.
you can put gwyn in the centre too (positioning wise) she can 4 man arrow them with rng.. Have a look at the pinned guides in #classic-questions too. it covers good ascension practices.
