I think i was a little bit lucky. 8th of playing and i got some descent pulls. 3 Shemyra, 3 Brutus, 2 Belinda, 1 Lucius, 1 Rowan, 2 Thane, 1, Seirus, 2 Estrilda, 1 Tasi, 1 Cecilia, 1 Gorvo, Fawkes and 1 Keithur. Currently i am playing Brutus and Shemyra in front row, back Belinda, Rowan and Thane. Is that a good setup? which one i shoul change from my current pulls? Change Burtus for Lucius for example?

@astral jay I tried putting Arden behind talene to root saveas, but he would die before the root. I tried swapping Brutus in, and he manages to get the root off, but everyone dies to fast. When using Fawkes he coffins, but then insta dies so it isn’t much use. At best my Belinda nukes 2 before everyone dies.

1. Is my squad alright?

@little perch try an concentrate your ascencions only on 5 heroes, you don't need 10 heroes+ at L+. Also, you should have not put Izold at L+, because you really need that fodder to be on Shemira, she's one of the best options for mid game DPS Carry, as states the guide above.

@desert badger you should avoid making A tier heroes L that can't go L+ to start. Focus on 5 heroes to build to avoid wasting fodder. I would run rosa instead of Cecilia, and make Belinda your highest level/combat rating so rosa will follow her.

Brutus is one of the strongest heroes in the game. If there was an MVP of AFK Arena, it would be him.

Everything about Brutus just synergies really well together. The combination of increased damage at low HP while also being completely immune to everything when receiving a fatal blow is extremely strong. Then you throw in a Whirlwind and everything just melts in sight. To top it off, once you get Whirlwind to level 3, it converts 35% of its damage into health for some crazy healing potential.

If you’re new to the game, pray that you get him relatively early because he can carry a team pretty far once he obtains his immunity skill at level 61. You can technically acquire him pretty easily by buying him from the starter gift sets, but that will be costly.

If you do manage to obtain him, I highly recommend investing as much EXP as possible into him while only leveling up other heroes once Brutus reaches the specific level caps. The level caps stop you from just leveling one hero, so you’ll need to level your team as well at some point.

glad its making progress, i think a lot of it will just be timing, you should be able to tank a brutus spin if he doesnt roar beforehand and that should snag the win

you can also try thoran or lucius in place of brutus, they should be workable too (esp with your investment in lucius, mine dies to a stiff breeze) and likely change the flow of the battle given our level difference

the same kind of lineups are going to be usable for the next 2 stages as well, another 2 mauler heavy enemy stages
