Fawkes is good when there's a special hero that deals a lot / blocks you (saveas/lyca/morvus) or to allow you to chill out a little bit in the beginning of the fight, i don't find it's a must use on every chapter (here for exemple, your rosaline is much more usefull) except if your fawkes is like mythic or something

You should try to get shemira in shops as soon as you can to have a dammage dealer and then use arden (to slow ennemies) / lucius (to shield yourself) it works pretty well. Otherwise you're too early on the game to focus on a 5 special team, you have to try to grind with what you drop

Generally for challenger store you save up until 500k coins, if a 150k hero is 1/2 copies away from A, you buy them, if not, buy an athalia, build back up to 500k and repeat. If buying one copy does nothing for you immediately there's no point, you might get them from a pull anyway

To play on cc fight. Lyca is naturaly dps and always gonna chunk enemies, charm helps too, roots have bits of dmg and tasi ult damages aswell. Nem ulmus is naturaly good combo. They might not have as high ascension but still i belive they can sustain a lot

If you are not loaded like crazy on lb copies then fawkes should be way to go. Realy. I have guaranteed A on my acc. I can afford ditching fawkes and ulmus since i have them at "decent" state (fawkes is only E btw and helps me clear stages sometimes)
But you cant deny from yourself progress that much. A is crucial ascension. You dont have nem at this point, so you have on way not yet full penthagram
You will stuck realy hard whichout A and those bonus levels in crystal. That will also affect your towers

@fair iron I wouldn't recommend estrilda as your main source of damage, maybe reset her and level either mirael or saveas. Then you can take out somebody for lyca, her haste is really good. Rosa doesn't pair well with saveas though, so maybe level your mirael instead and use something like: Estrilda, Brutus, Mirael Rosa Lyca.
There are also several guides in the pinned messages of #classic-questions which may help you out 🙂
@outer solstice I beat the stage with Estrilda instead of lucius, and having her go up against the ulmus. However, it's quite rng based and my estrilda was quite high ascension. Maybe move your shem top and just hope for some rng that your arden roots the enemy kaz.

@outer solstice Shemira will still work up until around chapter 23, at that point you will need to level your crystal a lot more to progress compared to other carries. Ferael is a good replacement/pair for/with shemira. You could also run full LB if you have Ascended Lucius, Belinda and high ascensions on Rosa Rowan and fawkes.

@west finch Bel and Shem are both DPS. try to only have one and put heroes that would increase the DPS' damage output. i would use Bel here as Shem only gets OP when she's 161+. instead of Rowan, I'd put Nem for CC and regen. idk who you would put in place of Shem because you don't really have any other good frontliner. I'd also level your heroes more so all of your heroes on the crystal are leveled, increasing your overall power.

@unkempt parcel not much unfortunately unless you have other heroes to work with, consider it bad luck, if you have the lab refresh potions you might be able to whittle him down over time, but it may or may not be worth it, up to you

hello, I'm stuck on this stage, the assassin just cucks my support and stuns it before she can open the buff, ive tried swapping equips and other heroes in and out, I still kind of get melted, is there any hope for me to pass with my current roster? If so I would really appreciate any help, thanks

Yep try reseting Brutus swap in Shem, then reset support crew to 101 and Shem as high as you can. Tasi, Arden, Shem, lucius and maybe eiron for faction bonus.

Use your athalia to focus arden and maybe get an arden yourself too, or count on the charm of nemora if you like RNG. I think your shemira should be able to facetank kaz (if you maybe add lucius ?) It would allows her to get free energy for her ability and then it should be ok

@twin hare this is the lineup I used for 19-38 but it's the exact same stage as 19-6 just level differences, might need a few retires but you want Arden to root their kaz and Arden at the start, if you can then get Rowan to ult and Shem to ult at least twice you pretty much win.
