They had reason for it: at elite they are capped at lv100. By crystal slotting them they can get higher level due to your other heroes and remain useful. In fact more useful cuz higher level without being restricted by their ascendance. That is why they had you do it

@past yacht You need to readjust your levels, you should overlevel a single hero (your main dps) as much as you can before levelling the others. Or else you'll progress a bit slower. Don't reset anyone but just keep that in mind moving forward.

then build Arden L/L+, he can increase your tank survival rate due to his root.
dont use estrilda as your main tank,

I'd like to get some suggestions for a general lineup. I've been using Lucius, Shemira, Belinda and Nemora but I'm unsure as to a fifth hero to ascend/level up. I've been swapping in Legendary+ Brutus or Estrilda based on gear.
I've seen a guide suggesting using Shemira and Lucius in the front, with Nemora, Lyca and Tasi in the back but my Lyca and Tasi are only Legendary.
At the moment my Belinda does a decent amount of damage, and I've ascended her quite a bit so probably looking to keep her until I get a fifth hero ascended to Mythic or so.

@hazy jasper Since you already have a support, 2 DPS, and a Tanky Frontline mentioned, you could use one of the following ;
An agile hero with plenty of dodge
Another Tanky support who can utilize well with your team (Faction bonus, or hero buffs)
Furthermore, I'd ascend Brutus to Mythic using your L+ Golus and proceed from there (mostly because Golus isn't needed in any union, and Brutus' lifesteal is massive compensation for the sacrifice.
Also, I'd insist that you'd make space for Lyca within the Crystal.

I have begun enhancing Khasos' sig item, but am considering (using fodder heroes only as food) laddering Vurk or maybe Skreg (due to being immovable hence possibly useful in tower) to L+ for a 5th Mauler since I'm short handed.
Worth doing, or should I save to make L+ fodder?
I am also close to breaking L200 cap with Brutus, and hope to have the required dust by the time Mauler tower opens.

@umbral badger vurk is rly awesome at high lvls and tiers. Sometimes he deal x3 more dmg then all team. His vial of poison just demolish enemies, and sig kick the rest. But it is very easy to interrupt.
As @clear saddle said keep focusing on warek & khasos. If u make them A tier they will push u to floor 160 ++ ez.

Aside from that, you'll also want to use all your levels on a singular hero (your main source of damage). so for now you have a choice between resetting silvina and using saveas, levelling silvina further or using belinda.

Next, you need to find a hero who can deal damage, in most early game cases, its saveas. 3rd row 4th hero. Reset one of your main 5 and use all your levels into him. You could reset the 4 blues too, or feed them if you can.

No, the power difference is quite normal, usually you are around 1/2 of the power of the enemy stages
For me personally, I would reset your top 4 heroes to 120, and level your saveas as high as possible. He's your main dps so you should max him out. Afterwards you can take out mirael for arden

Keep trying wilder stages are hard for shem carries. There's a lot of rng in that stage. Tasi shouldnt banish shem long enough, arden shouldnt root shem, nemora doesnt charm shem, your tasi survive enough to ult, you arden should root kaz. So much RNG it probably wont work immediately

@sharp falcon for my alts i used shemira mostly. Try using shemira with her ult ready at the start of the stage. Also, voyage is highly dependent on the artifacts you get. Firebringer + icebringer will practically guarantee you a win in that voyage

I'd say just keep going, one of those runs will have their Arden charmed to root his own team or your Arden will root them. Either way, your biggest annoyance is the Kaz and Ogi, if there's enough CC you can do it.

@honest storm Ummm... your situation looks like a tiny mouse taking on a monstrous cat - Pretty much impossible.
Please AFK further and get all of your heroes to L tier, cap them to level 140 to proceed.
Make sure to level your Saveas to 160
Also, you could always find loopholes and beat it but as for now I don't see anything helping you with your current heroes and Crystal level.

@lament dagger Thoran is also a tank,But it's usually not recommended to use ascended tier heroes early on because then you rely on them and never ascend them because they're harder to get,That's why I chose saveas and hogan so they're easier to get,And if you do get them to L+ then once they get too weak you can feed them to an ascended tier hero and get them to mythic.

The level of the crystal goea based on the lowest level of the 5 main heroes so if you have 4 level 100s and then a level 80,All crystal heroes will be 80
